it was not marathon but a stage of a triathlon "league". The exahausted brother was about to win the "league". His brother had no chance of winning anything "but" the single event itself. Hence the heroic aid to his brother. The brother in problem was actually set to run home on cruise control and win, but instead he made a fatal choice to speed up to get a better time. That caused his problem. Actually after the event his helping brother call him f***** idiot for not just run it home safe 😀

Classy people, decent human beings. One can be respectful in sports, to bad some participants don't feel the need to be, like some football players. Very touching the brother who help his brother over the finish line and helped him cross over first, the Father that helped his son over the finish line when he pulled a hamstring, and king James being kind to the fans.
