Beautiful! My church did a rendition of this and it was so well done, as was yours. What a moving song. Had to KZbin it to find it and now play it daily. I’m a new mom and going through horrible PMAD and so grateful for my blessing, but struggling hormonally. Need this reminder that Jesus is beautiful and with me. God bless

Congratulations Momma. Sleep deprivation adds to it SO much. Oh it's a tough time. Do not judge yourself over it, this is more common than not. Self care measures like hydration, vitamins, social support, time alone, of course naps when you can. Keep sugar intake at a low, even though cravings may be high from exhaustion. Hang in there, these days absolutely do pass. You'll begin to feel balanced and able to enjoy more moments.

Aw thank u so much! Just noticing this comment and so grateful to see and read it. Are u a momma as well? I struggle with Postpartum OCD, and have been a Christian for over 30 years. I have the most beautiful easiest baby and from week 9/10 to present it’s been heightened anxiety and intrusive thoughts. Did you experience it? I’m in therapy, ERP and support groups. Just hard as a Christian to go through this. Thank u for your kindness and validation

Yep, I'm a Mom, I didn't experience ppocd per se, but varying levels of mood disregulation after each child as hormones balanced out. My first took 10 months, with thyroid and adrenal involvment. For me, nutritional depletion was a huge factor. Ill post a link with great suggestions. It's so good you're hooked up with a support group! We can't heal in isolation, and for me Christian based Mom's groups in general were an integral lifeline. Don't settle for judgy groups though, it's well worth trying out different ones as your needs change. Parenting is a roller coaster...oh the teens forget about it lol. But through it all renember, YOU have a sound mind. God choose YOU to specifically be this beautiful baby's Mother, knowing everything about you. He knew it wouldn't be easy for you right now. You're not disappointing God, He doesn't want, need, or expect perfect. Try to let all that pressure and mental noise move on. We're ALL a mess at mothering, believe me...on the inside, outside, or both! We do what we can each task, each day. Difficult stretches happen. It's all an ebb and flow. God isn't expecting a performance, as I thought for so many years. Tried to be perfect and not disappoint God while struggling through the thicket of my mind, and my circumstances. Even now, when I connect with down to earth Mom's who have gone through it, a weight is lifted off. This is why Mom groups help so much. Anyway, remember you have a sound mind. You were chosen and are equipped for this vocation. It's a crazy ebb and flow journey. You can trust yourself. You are capable. Take a task/ an hour atva time. Give yourself out loud pep talks, reminders, affirmations...speak words of kindness to yourself out loud. Slogans actually helps me like, one day at a time, easy does it, I am enough exactly as I am, this too shall pass, let Go and let God. You're not alone in this. Ill post that link. Omega 3's, B vitamins, Vit D...all critical to mood regulation.
