The thing that concerns me the most about these minor altercations or minor accidents is that now because everyone has a phone, they call other people who show up at the sight of the accident, only making the situation worse. In this case, one driver called her boyfriend, who of course shows up at the scene and the other driver calls her mother, who of course shows up at the scene. So now instead of having TWO people who are ticked off at each other, you have FOUR people with each party having someone who will help to escalate the problem. When everyone had landlines, we were somewhat taught proper etiquette for those phones but today there is no etiquette and everyone uses their phone in the worse possible way. It's a pity that we have taken something that could be so helpful to everyone in every situation and has turned it into something that can sort of be used as a weapon. And this whole thing happened because two people were determined to be ahead of the other person at Starbucks! This woman overplayed her hand when she had to bring race into the situation and when she said she suffered an injury in this NOTHING accident and of course it was her back that was hurt. Guarantee she would have tried to sue someone for her messed up back.
