There was once a nurse who came to a food bank/soup kitchen where I worked. She was moved by God to give her a newly bought sneakers to the soup kitchen manager who had had feet problems recently. She left that day with no shoes on her feet. That is really the heart of a servant and I really believe that nurses have that heart. Thank you to all nurses who give of yourself selflessly.

I feel like brands like Nike, puma and adidas focus too much on the look and too little on actual comfort (you won’t feel it right away but if you stand a lot you’ll feel it). I think the best shoes for standing all day as a healthcare professional are those ugly ass new balance shoes. Not saying all new balance shoes are ugly but usually the more ugly they are, the comfier they are.

The first thing I would say is when buying a shoe is do you need a motion control shoe meaning are your arches low or have flat feet. Do you have high arches if so you probably need a neutral shoe. If somewhere in the middle try a stability shoe. Lastly buy your shoe off a old fashioned shoe store where you have knowledgeable sales people. Walking shoes if they are quality will probably be better than a running shoe, better lateral support !

For me the ultra boost was an upgrade from the new balance I was wearing. I work in retail and I’m standing and walking constantly for upwards of 9 hours a day (not on medical professions level but still a good amount of time) but it’s still not what I’m recommending at all. Out of this entire video the only decent shoes were the #2 spots and kind of the ultra boost. These are all opinions and from personal experience so base it off your own experiences for sure! Id be looking in to some true runners shoe (brooks, Asics, some nike such as Pegasus or the react, etc.) These true runners have the type of support and cushioning people look for. Good luck!

@@youngrevival9715 I have them for a year and they are still comfortable. There are some cracks on the boost midsole but the continental black rubber outsole prevents it from cracking even more. On both shoes water has never made it in through the cracks. I just noticed the crack the other day because I was just checking them and I bent the shoes for some reason. The cracks are not visible. The overall integrity of the shoe has looks great. They don't show wear unless you look at the continental rubber thread. There is still thread left maybe another year. I totally recommend you get in them. For me, 180 bucks is a lot of money but these shoes are worth it.

I'd suggest to also consult a pedometrist or physical therapist about insoles and stuff. Long term the soft sport shoes (as amazingly comfortable as they are) can cause some damage. My solution now is to have personal insoles to put in the adidas boost shoes so I get the support my foot needs but can still walk on clouds. Made such a difference. And because I can switch the insoles to any shoe I don't need to look for special shoes. The damage can appear in few months or few years, depends on person, but once it's there and you have regular pain is way harder to reverse it.

The adidas boost is pure trash. You have to take in consideration one major factor when buying shoes. How much do you weigh? Most of these shoes do not work when you are over 200 pounds. These lightweight guys who weigh 150-160 can wear any of these shoes and get maximum comfort. When you press 200 plus pounds on any type of cushion or midsole for several hours the dynamics of the comfort changes drastically.
@JeffFallout2 жыл бұрын
I'm 180 to 185 lbs. Different generations of ultraboost have had different densities of boost some more springy some more firm but all have been pretty comfortable. But its all relative. I don't think there would be a huge difference if I was 200lbs and I know people over 200lbs that wear them as well. But if people are worried they can try on the shoes in store and see what works lol I'm just a random buy giving an opinion nothing more.
