How does the Clifton or Bondi compare to the New Balance 1080 v10?
@successfullyfail3 жыл бұрын
Clifton ($130)is a neutral medium cushion from hoka with a softer feel on foot , Bondi ($150) is a max cushion shoe from hoka with a tad firmer and more rigid feel to the shoes (A LOt OF STACK HIGHT) Both with Hokas signature meta rocker tech vs. the high cushion 1080v11 (current model) ($150) that feels like a marshmallow underfoot. personality i like the clifton for daily trainer, bondi for recovery runs or slow long runs and the 1080v11 if i want to wear a really soft shoe or recovery ALL SHOES GOOD FOR WALKING ALSO NOT JUST RUNNING

As a runner and running coach, an avid runner wouldn’t even consider the $130 price point to be a budget price point, but more the norm for most moderate level running shoes across the brands. The Hoka Clifton 7 is a neutral foot everyday trainer built for someone looking for a over-conventional stack height of cushioning to reduce the road impact by 80%, and a low heel to toe offset with a slight rocker to reduce heel to toe pressure and natural foot guidance while running distance. The Stinson (ATR ) and (Road) was always considered as a big brother road to trail hovercraft of a shoe with an even higher stack to the Clifton for excessive high mileage ranging from marathons to ultra distance. We runners are cheap by nature, and would only buy over whats considered budget when new tech comes out and we’re eager to try it, of course if the our BUDGET permits.

Stinson's are more of a trail/all terrain and reason it's a bit stiffer are with those outsole lugs, while the Bondi ( Bon-dai , not Bon-di ) and Clifton are for running on mostly flat surfaces. Previous Clifton 6 have better colourways though and have the popular Hoka pull tabs. You didn't mention those Brooks Hyperion Tempo. They are superb, great fit, very responsive cushioning and probably better than a lot of shoes you mentioned there.

Just one question, why they have to make them so ugly?
@gilbertoflores73974 жыл бұрын
Because they're meant for performance over style. Nike and adidas know they have to make their shoes stylish too. The only running specific companies, only worry about performance because their customers only care about that. They wouldn't really wear them casually.
@Bonbon456294 жыл бұрын

True performance running shoes goes better in the lasting department instead of aesthetics. Nike and Adidas shoes tend to be good looking but don't last. If u see real runners and in marathon they seldom choose Nike or Adidas unless they are sponsored or something. Lot times some are even brands unknown to many.

I also wouldn't go to an artist strictly for an air brush review. If someone who wasn't good at art but was interested in air brushes and bought and tested everyone of them; then knowing and learning what makes a good airbrush and what qualities to look for in said products. I'd trust them over a regular "artist". According to your analogy. He has had enough experience with shoes, their tech, and cushion, to be more informed than you would like to give him credit for.
