One thing i noticed about pulse mig is you can weld no cleaning and you dont really get porosity like that.

How many amps were you using? How thick is the aluminum?

Fun fact. Pulse echo Ultrasonics is bad for detecting porosity. On the other hand, TOFD Ultrasonics is great for detecting porosity, even better than RT because we can size it with greater accuracy, height, length and depth. UT rulez !
