Thanks Chad for speaking truth about A.D.O.C. Change needs to happen there. I get angry whenever I see this type of injustice inside prisons. I myself lived in California Prisons. Corcoran for 17 years. I somehow made it out. Stuff I experienced in prison affects me still. Peace.

As I have mentioned in other prison-affiliated channels, I served nineteen consecutive years in the Alabama Department of Corrections (2002-2021). I’m out now, and currently living in Spokane, Washington. I could write volumes of what I witnessed (and didn’t witness, if you know what I mean). Much illegal activity involving ADOC prison officials. All camps I was sent to slowly deteriorated over the years. All have intolerable violence, and all are filthy beyond words to describe. The prison programs are worthless, especially to the parole board. They don’t recognize those bullshit certificates of completion. Health care in these camps are horrendous, and honestly non-existent. Security? Where did that word come from? All the Feds have to do is intensify their investigations, and sever ALL federal government funding to this atrocity. This will stop.

Chad in all I've done 7 years in ADOC. I got out in 2006. It was horrible when I was doing time but it's gotten worse. One of my best friends Trent Alldredge lost his life at Donaldson from neglect. He lost his life that started over a small scratch on his face. He died of sepsis because they wouldn't treat him. A small scratch.

Chad, you're doing a great thing here. More people should be made aware. I worked in Ohio DORC for 13 years 94-2007 and moved to Alabama in 2018. When I left Ohio had 29 state run prisons and 3 privately run prisons with approximately 45,000 inmates. In comparison, within the first 6 months I lived in Alabama there were more inmate deaths, escapes, staff arrests than Ohio had in the 13 years I worked in the dept. Unfortunately, ADOC does not release any information publicly any longer. I have never worked for ADOC, nor would I ever. Worried about inmates? Not really, spent 13 years around them. The staff? Yes. I've never seen more corruption within one dept. It's sickening. I'm not much of an inmate advocate (I do believe that some should never see the light of day again) but the living conditions from videos I've seen through another KZbin channel on Alabama prisons is horrendous. It's true that the DOJ filed a lawsuit against the state and gave them 2 years to fix things, that was in 2019 I believe. Still nothing has been done. Kay Ivey wants to build a mega prison to hold 4,000 inmates and thinks that will help the problems. For some conditions it will. But until ADOC makes major changes from within, unfortunately things will not change. I do feel for many that have to tolerate the conditions they are forced to live under. Makes it that much more difficult for everyone.

Maybe the government needs to put someone undercover for 6 months or is that enough. I hired an attorney, my attorney told me. Thank you for this. I’m a 44 year old white man in Alabama and I have been to Kilby, Donaldson, and Bibb. I am a recovering drug addict with 12 prior felony convictions. I was stabbed twice and beat countless times. However I am one of the lucky ones because I found a new life. What you’re doing here is needed…I REALLY believe you care and I haven’t seen one of these channels that does yet. Violence and hate are a part of everyday life there and I’m sure people have assumed they don’t report all the bodies. In the summer of 2015 23 people died at Donaldson on the blacktop. I still have nightmares from that time and being gang affiliated. I had it way better than most people. Those are not my people today. I believe in God and I will pray every day as long as I’ve left for my black and white brothers behind the fences. Our state government is proven they don’t care and we’ll go to any links to cover up their misdeeds. Keep doing what you’re doing…you are so needed and I will pray for you as well

Great channel Chad. Alabama prisons are beyond deplorable. Just recently, a guy was beaten in the head with a lead pipe. They had to do brain surgery. An inmate had to tell the family bc officials didn’t. They transferred him to another prison where he passed. Family couldn’t get anyone to talk to them. A few days later, a guy with two weeks remaining before his release, a guy in his early 20’s, was beaten and unalived. When the family got the body, he was missing his heart. Only finding out bc the family hired a private pathologist. Anyway, like your channel bro

My brother Charles Andre Allen died in Bibb county county corrections on January 28th 2023 at only 42 years old, and they say from natural causes. He was in prison for violating his parole. Get over 4 1/2 years and was denied parole and put off for another five years. It's very sad. My brother was a good man that had flaws. He was a deacon, and ran the Bible study classes at Bibb county. I just know he ain't suffering now , and he's flying with the angels. Alabama corrections are all privately owned prisons none of them are owned by alabama. I remember when my brother first went to prison he had called me and said they tried to put him on the Cotton Fields for detail. He wasn't having that he ended up in the kitchen. This is the deep South it is what it is and it shouldn't be. Louisiana Mississippi Georgia and Alabama, their cash crop is prisoner's. Ball sold and traded like the stock market. I just had to vent y'all have a blessed day

Chad thanks so much for taking up this fight with us to bring about reform. This was a great video of what its like in the ADOC, however this is the PG-13 version. It's 100 times worse than what was shown. I was a nurse in ADOC and I could tell you stories that I wouldn't believe had I not seen it myself! Example-guys with colostomy bags are sadly extremely popular in Alabama prisons. It's actually a Hustle giving inmates time with ur C-bag. White guy's come in with addiction & are targeted then allowed to run up debts then when they can't pay their debts are forced to work off these debts. FYI LOTS of homicides are officially labeled "suicides" and swept under the rug bcuz 99.99% of families can't afford or don't care about autopsies plus Prison officials don't want outside entities bringing heat to the deplorable conditions they allow inmates to live in. Alabama prisons ARE that nightmare u hope & pray is just a dream

As you said-the violence begets violence. If I’m a prisoner and have to react violently when another prisoner steals from me; then how will an officer who also has to survive in that environment react when he has feces/urine thrown his face? Eventually both sides will develop a tribal disdain for one another and prisoners who become prey can not rely on officers to advocate for them. It’s just gonna be violence. I don’t know if there’s a way to change an environment wherein the most violent people that had to be removed from society have to coexist.

I’ve been to Ventress, Easterling, Bullock, Elmore and Fountain. Fountain was by far the most violent and wide open. At fountain I saw a stabbing my first day there and after the guys came from the infirmary (both were stabbed) they put them back in the dorm together on their same beds. This was because the “hot cell” which is fountains lock up, was full, and they had to wait for their turn lock up. They ended up going to lock up together a couple months later. Drugs, cell phones and gambling were rampant. The guards did literally nothing for fights or anything. The ONLY time they get involved in a fight to stop it is if there was a knife or locks involved. You could literally sit on your bed and talk on a cell phone as the guards walked by and not try to hide it. Fountain was followed closely by Elmore as far as violence.

This is your mission statement. Bring light to the evil these people incur on inmates. Yes there are bad people but the violence and bloodshed can and should be stopped. I believe that YOU have the leadership skills as well as the character and drive to make it happen. Bring the pain of accountability to those in charge.

This is so sad man! New Jersey isn't much better either! Only if the people in this country could see the truth that our citizens/Americans go through while incarcerated in these facilities

This hits me so hard it makes me want to run for governor of my state so I can help to effect change. I am a stern conservative that can not understand how people call themselves conservative yet support things like this. We need oversight and we need rehabilitation not punishment for people. Especially the non violent offenders that rot in prison for very long terms for a plant that was given to us by a higher power because it's truly an herb that can control so much in our bodies to stave off sickness. Truly sad that man at the end has a serious infection that can cause death once in the blood stream. The criminals that are guards wardens politicians are the ones that need to be in prison.

I agree 💯 that it's the prisons responsibility to make the health and safety of the every single person there first and I'm not excusing them at all for leaving sick and starving injured men in cells to die all alone but also a bulig portion of this falls under the "convict code" as well dudes going into cells with known convicted killers to "fight" and people getting hit with pokers and knives and hiding the wounds for fear of getting in trouble or being labeled a snitch it all falls on so many people and there's so many different ways you could look at it but the end of the day it's not worth risking losing your freedom over nothing but yours and your families lives other than that don't sell drugs and do robberys

It's mest up that in USA some cell's and prison are 3rd world's living when the prisoners can learn how to work and fix all the prison's to have a better life and work on the land and grow there own food , boredom make us violent and do crimes in prison all prisoner's need to ride together and fight for the rights that we deserve i bet they will make better prison's. But no we rather kill each other always. Respect to all the real one's, Chad keep that positive movement and information.
