Actually his technique is difficult, it requires agility, strength and endurance. Effective skiing is simple movements in a relaxed mindset. Moguls can be pleasant and fun.

Wouldn't be a ski video without a bunch of comments stating how easy the run is compared to East Coast/Canada/Colorado etc.. Strangely when you click on those commenters there's never any video evidence of their awesome ski ability across that rugged terrain. Anyway, awesome job on this run. Keep practicing and you might be able to handle the mighty mountains of Vermont with their 200m vertical. Lol

That doesn’t look too difficult to me although I’m sure the GoPro isn’t doing it any justice. Things tend to look easier on camera than they do in person. I’m probably underestimating how steep it really is.

It’s pretty easy Not to flex but you can easily send it straight down the mogul part and then shoot high up onto the opposite mountain where if you traverse, can get some great powder

Steep doesnt make hard or difficult, add trees and cliffs to negotiate, a shoot that's only wide enough for half a turn and were talking difficulty. Really difficult level stuff should have a mandatory air like the PARASHOOT run at Solitude utah. Or the Ortavox shoot on evergreen ridge same resort. I was expecting something like Great Scott at snowbird at least where you negotiate cliff bands on an arrete to access the steep open run

Actually the steepest black run in Auris is called "La fuma", not this one. But it is not too often open. Small bushes are even growing on it ;). The "col de cluy" shown here is nevertheless a very nice run with some steepness, but nothing scary. It was in a really good conditions with fresh snow on the video. It can have much bigger moguls and be icy.

well done, but I agree doesn't look harder than "great scott" snowbird; alta or any double blacks at mammoth (off the peak). it all depends on snow though. I still find "the swiss wall" one of the most challenging slopes because the moguls tend to get HUGE. But, to be honest unless there are cliffs to jump or really narrow couloirs it's all the same and no big deal. The view though! , man I miss the Alps.

It doesn't look hard on a GoPro but that is a REALLY hard run! It's incredibly steep, I'm a ski racer and in my opinion I don't think I can even do that run.

Skied this twice, once it looked like this, the other time it was halfway up my boots in powder. Both were extremely hard work, both times are in my top 5 for hardest things I've skied

Those drains look juicy in a good way. In between the edges is consistently the freshest powder, it's far too easy to traverse out than it is to turn back into the narrow corridor.

The pits make it harder than usual,but the slope itself is not that difficult,and it is not a black one for sure! I ski since I was 3 years old ,I’m 15 now, and I can easily admit that these types of slopes with these many pits are harder than the clean black ones. Never the less,great video,nice skiing and keep it up with these videos,great work!

Seemed to be pretty good conditions, would be a little more tricky if all sheet ice. It's nice and wide too, but that may be a bit of a curse if less experienced skiers are using the entire width and not turning tight down a single line of moguls. Would love to give it a go someday. Not a massive fan of flat connecting Pistes either.....you were going mad fast and still nearly didn't make that top traverse. Boarders must hate that?

Okay, a regular advanced is normally around 30 degrees. A REALLY challenging is around 45. And worlds steepest is 70 :)

The difficulty is the conditions. That hill looks like a safe piece of cake as there are no cliffs or trees to avoid in case of a spill. Looks pretty icy though, that always ups the difficulty level. For reference, I ride Mt. Hood Meadows in Oregon. Pretty safe, but some areas offer serious pucker factor.

What I saw were two nice pitches and the rest is roadway. When a slope is skied by those who should avoid it, it gets chunked up with lots of bumps, hardpack and ice. Not fun. Groom the pitches and you've got a nice fall line suitable for GS.

I was there last year and it's steep but not the steeps black in the world for sure :) Try riding the Streif or the Karwahal and you'll see what steep means :)

No one has really cracked how to give a true depiction of steepness on camera. My own view on scary combines steep and narrow, so very short radius turns on very steep terrain. This doesn't fit the category, but moguls are another skill set, which l have yet to master. So let's just chill and enjoy.

Other point to make is how ridiculous are the posts that show guys inching down sheer drops ahead of dropping into couloirs etc. To me that is stupidity and ugliness. Not skiing, which is about beauty and fluidity. Craft vs graft and l know which l prefer

Knuckles E.x.e [Helper of Sonic E.x.e] actually it may take a little bit to get used to being attached to a few clunky pieces of plastic and metal but after that progression is steady and you learn pretty fast. As long as you don’t get scared to try new things or are afraid of going fast, skiing is quite easy and in my opinion the most fun sport.

Kaloyan Bankov not super hard, i lived in las. eggs for 7 years then moved to utah, started skiing when i was 9 i’m now 14 and can ski double blacks and do many tricks in the park.

Personally when I did it didn’t think it was very steep but there was black ice in between all the moguls which you would go flying every time you hit so thats what I think makes it hard

The helmet mounted cam shows how in the steeper parts his head bounces around and he lacks smooth finishes on his turns. European skiers struggle in steep western bumps found in the US. Conditions look great.

Hi,my name is Sandro and i wanna tell you a little story. So since i watched this video the slope looked very steep and in Georgia the Soviet country next to Russia we have a really great ski resort Gudauri and in there is a mountain kudebi and on that is black diamond run it is 80% steep and it's only 950 meters long and i skied on that run one day and my knees were like burning!

I've never skied before, can someone tell me why there are just what look to be random tourists standing still on the slopes with skis on? Does the ski operator pay them to just look clueless, are they like obstacles and part of the experience that you have to avoid plowing over?
