I’m not watching anymore. I’ve always been very flexible, but I certainly didn’t ever consider using it as a performance. I can appreciate acts that require intelligence, or talents. Not just someone bending their body in abnormal, and sometimes shocking ways. My husband saw the first person, and said he better not see me climbing out of bed like that! Lol

In fact one contortionist won a talent competition and a alot of money for bending his body. So yes their contortions can get them hired in horror movies, circus shows and earn them a living.

I'm pretty sure most of the people in this have a genetic connective tissue disorder like Ehlers Danlos or Marfan. I have Ehlers Danlos and in my youth, could do a lot of this. The problem is the more you do, the looser your joints leading to dislocations and arthritis.
