Defender series here: Never once saw this separate. Dropped more than once from a 38 foot ladder, once or twice from 40+ feet. Phone is as pristine as the day I bought it. Granted I assume it hit grass every time. Once in a puddle of mud. Great case, but fuck their belt clips. Use your pocket.

The problem is, that they all were let fallen by hand and startet to fall with a bit different spin. So the cases landed differently and are not really comparable . Would be cool to have kind of a mechanism to let the phones go everytime the same so that they don’t get a different spin.

Not to be that person, but it depends on what case you have if you have a $3 shein case then the phone will probably crack but if you have a good protective case like speck or otterbox than its probably not going to break
