I just don't know who give Tony this 👎s, this is not a bad video, he's one of the few people always give us the true meaning of rc, no boundary on any brands, if you are the traxxas hater, please you can simply not watch this video, but don't give this video a dislike, he just showing us what real fun you can get out of the maxx, and also showing what rc mean to all of us, is to let you busy mind go for a bit and have some fun. 😉

I got one when it came out and have bashed it every other day and weekend since. Has also proven to be pretty tough...keeps taking it and taking it. As tough as it is, I'm not afraid to let my 6 yr old run it around. +10MM hex extenders, 500K rear diff fluid, and some fine tuning of the steering and braking in the Traxxas link app and it handles much better.

The term "Rented Mule" comes to mind. Traxxas makes a phone attachment for the top of the remote. It's only $20 and works great. This is exactly why I got back into RC. When we were kids, hits like that would disintegrate a truck. That's one tough S.O.B.. -"Angry" Dave

Excellent bash Tony! Just as durable as I would have thought. This kit is a tank. Hopefully the optional parts will assist on all of the rollovers. Can't wait to see what that price point is going to be for the optional parts.

Very tough for sure. I've run it with the bluetooth module on the remote, which allows you to dial the braking down, and that makes it MUCH easier to control in the air. Stops it nose diving when you dab the brakes, guess those hits would've bent other cars! :-)

It seems more durable than the granite BLX. I've only had the big brother of this rig (xmaxx 8s) for about a month and has impressed me with its durability, except for the body. I just did the drywall tape and silicone trick to help stop the cracking. Nice bashing!

Are Traxxas vehicles the most durable brand generally now? Love the old Tamiyas but the kids wreck them. Don't know anything about modern cars, just looking for durability and want to focus on a brand.

Its definitely a little tank!!! Great hard bash! You ran it like you stole it! Am I the only one who doesn't like that body mount system? Seems like good ole fashioned body clips would be less work. What good is a quick mount system if you have to put it on 20 times. Seems like reinventing the wheel when it wasn't necessary. It drive me crazy lol. 👊🍻😁

I agree if you could modify this system might help but if I had it come off every other jump it would bug the hell out of me. Than again I'm not a big air jumper so maybe it would be fine for just mild bashing and I wouldn't have to deal with it. I'm also big on doing up aftermarket bodies but with this system it kind of limits your options.

You don’t need hex extensions if you buy the new src terrain crusher tires they are a new version that fits perfectly and are much wider and bigger, they work great for me... on a side note my back tires wiggle at high speeds on the street and everything is tight, lmk if you have an idea (tsm was tested on and off)

I really like the ARRMA 3s Big Rock, Granite, and Vortex for all around bashing. At a skate park...you might want to get RPM arms for anything you get.

Yep I agree, this is the most durable truck of the year with out moding, since I brought this maxx and keep jumping it at the skate park with in the past 2 mouths, the only things that i broke are the battery holddown, lower right front arm pin came out and the tires cracked. first broke the battery holddown caz I still don't know how to control the maxx yet, and I accidentally jump 2 stages high and front head landing it hard,🛬🙊😨 second it's the cracked tires that's my fail, I forgother to plug the 2 holes on all the tires before i play on the snow for nearly 4 times, that's why they all cracked.❄🌨😭 and then is the pin, that day I keep landing on the same wheel with sing and double back filps at the skate park, but is a easy fix just band it back and now is good to go again. 〰️😉 to me it's really a tough trucky caz the way that I running it.🙈

I can ask you question a bit, I got a rustler 4x4 vxl and the maxx, my rustler 4x4 Vxl is almost identical to the slash, some parts on my rustler 4x4 is build better then the slash, by mean is not as stronge as the maxx if you don't mod it, just like the 4 driveshafts on my rustler4x4, with in a year of jumping it, I already replace all 4 shafts, but my maxx shafts still holding up, my maxx did broke some minor stuff but not much, if you like you can check out my videos and compare this two trucky, all I can say is I like to jump both, caz rustler4x4 (identical to slash) is lighter and easy to control in the air, but on the other hand the maxx is hard to control on the air, for toughness the maxx is stronger. That's all with out mod on both.😉

dennis cooley no. They are close. They don’t bash the same. But my done broke his Senton bumper yesterday and my servo busted. His servo busted a while back on it. Not doing anything this crazy. The slash likely would have blown out a driveshaft...but it’s hard for me to know because my slash has RPM arms.

I still have the problem steering blocks and caster blocks I will use the 8950x and 8739 and 8932 I think that with this the maxx will be indestructible

I just got in a dhk hunter sct today In the mail and a team redcat sc10e sct coming tomorrow!! They had great deals for the holiday! I got the dhk for 190$ msrp 289$ and scored the tr-sc10e for 220$ and that sells for 380$!! I couldn't pass them up! And I've yet to run my Mojave although I think first run is coming tomorrow! I broke mine the first bash on a wrecked front flip and then again on another bash. They are super strong and take a lot, but nothing like this. I can’t break this thing. I’ve done this same hard bash so many times. Terrible rotating landings on one wheel that should snap an a-arm or C-hub. I haven’t had to replace anything. It was this same ramp in warmer weather and not going as big that broke the Granite. All that said...the Granite handles way better and is durable and a much better value. It would be my recommendation. In fact, a guy saw me driving this and inquired. I told him the granite could do the same for half the price and showed him mine. He walked away with my granite that night.

Juan Marichal No necessarily, they built the MAXX after the X-MAXX to be tougher and lighter I heard...plus cheaper! I just bought one with two 4S batteries and Traxxas Live Completer Charger in a bundle deal tonight and can’t wait to get it hopefully by this weekend.

you say this is the most durable, but do you own an Xmaxx? And if you do, well then ok. You're probably right. But if you don't, I suggest you compare the Xmaxx to the Maxx. I think it would be a close comparison.

coasguardghost I have an x-Maxx and I’ve broke it with less hard crashes then this. The weight and size make it a little more prone to break, but still super tough. I broke wheels, a-arms, shock shafts, c-hubs etc on the x-Maxx, but it took a lot to do that much to it.
