I will be the first one to mention how intelligent you have to be to hold these types of positions. For one, the equipment is extremely expensive, and the work itself is very dangerous. We aren’t idiots that do this type of work. Remember, if natural catastrophe happens, we’re the ones that everyone will need to rely on to survive. Again, thank you for explaining this Kevin. This was a great show Kevin! I’m an Electrical Engineer/MBA and I started my career in the Utility Industry, specifically commercial nuclear power and throughout my career I’ve worked with guys in the plant, lineman for power systems, skilled tradesman etc. and many are at $150k+ within a few years of training. If their fathers or a close relative was in the trade, they’re in a program at 18 years old and by 21/22 they’re making good bank for their age, in little to no debt and if forward thinking they’re building the skillset and network to ‘enterprise’ as you mentioned! In talking to these ladies, young and old, many are just clueless with regards to the money being made by these men and as was echoed in the show, it’s because they tend to focus on the superficial aspects [swag/suits etc...]. I always shake my head because I’m thinking, “How is it the men know where the high quality dudes are [Blue or Blake] and the ladies don’t!” A whole segment of men are ‘securing’ the bag like thieves In the night, GHOSTS to single women. This channel is a great resource for those that want solid advice AND are about action after receiving said advice....💪🏽

I think the reason blue collar men are overlooked by women is that society and Hollywood presents blue collar men as the uneducated (see not having a degree) underclass that shouldn’t be afforded the same affirmations, respect and praise compared to their white collar counterparts that are looked at as high class due to their education when in reality most of the white collar money makers didn’t get a college degree yet all the entry level positions are held by college degree holders 😂. It’s women’s misperception that a college degree is the end all be all gateway way to affluent and prestige thus access to high quality men. They fail to realize or acknowledge that there are high quality men across the blue and white collar job sectors who are doing very well but because these men don’t have a “high powered” job title women look at these men as being beneath them thus are automatically disqualified as potential long term partners.
@MrRyanCHill03 жыл бұрын
Fellow electrical Engineering, I work with design engineer for cell phone components, but I know some many guys that went to work with the power companies and many of them end up at the nuclear plant making bank. I’m with you, I just don’t get why these women don’t see there are plenty of people who are blue collar in a plant. I’ve worked with managers at Siemens for my senior project and they guys make 150k+ and a lot of them don’t have degrees.

I'm a PROUD blue Henry. I've been a union carpenter for 26 years. After achieving my journeyman card, I started a small construction company in Indianapolis. Before leaving the city, we helped building Lucas Oil Stadium, the Indiana State Convention Center, and the NCAA Hall of Champions. I shut my company down to move my family to Maui. I went back to working as a union carpenter. My wife (now exwife) watched me do this. After a couple years of living in Maui, and paying for our son's tuition at Tuskegee (he's now an engineer for Boeing), she left me (and our family for a f-boy). I'm now remarried and rebuilding another empire. Don't overlook what we bring to the table.

Had a sister curve me on one job site, I saw at a party of a mutual friend we didn’t know we shared. She didn’t even recognize me a cleaned up and in a different vehicle. One of the things I've notice in life regarding degreed black women is that they're wanting status and attention thus the overlooking of blue collar guys, which in their eyes does not bring those things. As a guy having been white collar (still holding professional licenses) and blue collar currently, it was glaringly apparent, particularly in office settings. As a result, the conversations about finding or meeting guys "ON THEIR LEVEL" was common topic of discussion. I can truly say that very few had a "Level"....

Currently working on my Bachelor's in Business Administration. I have the utmost respect for men who work with their hands. As far as attraction, I actually prefer it. My father was a public works contractor & my mother was a housewife even though she was a registered CNA. I've always been provided for & would feel pretty low if I ever made a "Blue Henry" feel as though his work is not appreciated. Salary or occupation means nothing if a man's mindset is not setup to provide. If he's a provider, he will provide.

Man o man! This was a good one. I’m 🙋🏿♂️ a blue collar brotha as well. Had an ex that just could not deal with me working the way I was working. I fell on hard times and she left me in a hard position. I met another woman about 2yrs later who believed in me while she was a sophomore in college and a flight attendant. She stuck with me through it all and now we are over 10yrs married, 2 kids with one on the way, $350k home (I live in Ga), and I just bought her one of her dream vehicles which is the 2021 Durango. Long story short....I joined the military, got out of the military, and kept my side hustle going along with my now federal contracting job. Life is good!! Seen my ex about a few times around town and all she does is stare at us. Oh well...Wish her well. 😁😎

My father was an electrical engineer for Common Wealth Edison for 30 years. He retired at age 51 22 years ago. Why? Because he made $350,000-400,000 a year. His pay out retirement package was too good to pass up. He did two years at community college. No degree. He sent my sister and I to elite private schools from k-12 out of pocket. Paid for both of our college tuitions out of pocket. Every summer we traveled overseas and every spring break we went to Hawaii or the islands. We shopped at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Marshall Fields. And what did my mother make who has three masters and is still working? $110,000 a year. NEVER look down on blue collar men. They are where it’s at. My current boyfriend (who wants to marry me) is a blue collar man. He reminds me of my dad. A good hard working man. Meanwhile, my male white collar colleagues make on average $65,000… with their little college degrees. They can’t pick up overtime and make an extra $2-5k a week on top of what they make because they are stuck in salaried positions. PREACH GODFATHER!
