Risky thing to do. Chances are, if you're down 0-2 those subs won't turn the game around, so that match is lost either way. But if you destroy players' morale, it might lose you the next game as well.

Harry Wilson is known for being a big prospect at Liverpool, and was only on loan at Derby iirc, but yeah definitely remembered by Forest fans as a Derby player. Being subbed off in the first half can be quite embarrassing.. for example, Dejan Lovren's most "memorable" moment for Liverpool - at least in the eyes of non-Liverpool fans, as we remember him more for his goal vs Dortmund - was being subbed off vs Spurs after 30 minutes when 2-1 down.. in 2017! Yes, and I reckon in 20 years' time he'll be a trivia question that many will know! Obviously in the Fulham case it was a tactical change, which wouldn't be embarrassing for the players in question.

In Korea you can only make two subs if you don't play any U22 players, though they're increasing this to three in 2025. It's not surprising to see teams give U22 players 33 minutes & hook them for more experienced talent.

Forest absolutely couldve been 4 or 5 up before the triple sub. We were absolutely abysmal. But even then, a triple sub before HT is unheard of, and was a massive statement from Silva. Iwobi was god awful, dropped a 0/10 disasterclass in the half hour, and to be honest he never shouldve started. Willian (his like-for-like sub was always the better choice for the game. Wilson was also pretty poor, worse than hes ever been, so accelerating the "Bring on the fast big cunt at 70mins" plan made sense. Lukic got done dirty though, he was doing alright in the game and has earned the chance to play, but Cairney is and has always been the more creative player to bring on so I get it. That game was an embarassment. Our away form is a joke. But the worst part is we dont "lose" games, we have full blown meltdowns and gift points. We're so weak mentally, and have been for the best part of a decade, and idk how we change it.

Im from korea, and the k-league here has a weird rule regarding U22 and number of subs a team can make, which results in a whole lot of changes around 30 min mark. So the rule goes like this: - 3 subs allowed when there isnt any U22 player in the matchday squad - 4 subs allowed when a U22 player starts but none are subbed in - 4 subs allowed when there isnt any in the starting xi but more than 2 U22 players are being subbed in - 5 subs allowed when either 2 U22 players start or 1 starts and 1 subbed in I still can’t wrap my head around this bc it’s just way too complicated (pretty sure a season on fm with a team from k league will help me thru) but this rule nudges a team to start a U22 player, which also makes the coaches to sub players early.

He is beloved by the players and fans for bringing them up from the Championship and keeping them up last season. They beat Man Utd not so long ago.
