Jinelle stayed in Dallas and even worked for the DCC for a couple years, and as one of the DCC All Stars she even cheered in a game the following season when someone got in a car accident.

The day all of the veterans retired but it is hard trying to keep a job and come to practice and here judy hollowing your name I know some can't dance they try but they need dance classes then try out for dccc they all want to try out but you can see some can't catch on to the style of dance kashara so proud of her I live 1 hour from were she lived in Kentucky so proud of her country girls can make it to. I love her

as someone else stated, it's to keep it out of the wrong hands., if someone got a hold of it and tried to portray themselves as a DCC. There will be people who fall for it and won't validate if they really were or not so it will give the legitimate DCC a bad rep as well as cause financial loss to the victims and the organization.

@@cheribuchanan6394 not at all! It’s not a generic cheerleader uniform that *all* the teams wear with just different colors like HS and college. It’s a proprietary uniform and there are serious legal issues if someone does something inappropriate with it. There’s a couple of videos on Robin’s channel with her and Jenna and they actually discuss this. They bring up the same concerns that are mentioned here. They don’t even get to keep their practice uniforms. Jenna said when they moved from VR to Frisco they had the opportunity to purchase some items that were in the clothing closet. Jenna said she purchased some of their practice uniforms. The only uniforms they (or anyone) gets to keep are what they wore for finals. If you watch Seasons 1 and 6 (via Paramont+ or Pluto), Kali tried out both seasons. In Season 6, there’s a scene where she pulls out the uniform she wore for Season 1 finals.

I do really hope they include it in the show, it’s giving the vets a proper goodbye!

Why don’t they get to keep the boots, uniforms, and poms when they retire? They’ve worked so hard to wear them, and who else will they fit?

It’s to keep people from selling the uniform or otherwise inappropriately trying to profit off the DCC name/image. For instance, I’ve heard that Rowdy is allowed to book his own appearances separate from the Cowboys. This allows him to earn in excess of six figures. The girls cannot do this. Every uniform appearance has to be approved by Kelli and Judy. If someone were to get a hold of the uniform or even a ex-cheerleader try to profit off of it as a “former DCC” there can be legal ramifications. It also would open the doors to scammers as people would fall for it and not validate the validity.

You cannot duplicate the uniform without the permission of the Dallas Cowboys Organization. Its illegal. Yes ppl make uniforms for things like Halloween etc but to say someone has an authentic DCC uniform worn by an actual DCC, no. No one can say that.

This is the only show that repetitively makes me cry. You guys just Gotta stop doin that! My husband comes in and and he’s like,”oh my Gosh! What’s happened Now!” (We’ve had a series of losses in the family, one right after the other. We just can’t take any more. So of course he sees me with tears in my eyes…) He has gotten to now he says, “PLEASE tell me you’re watching ‘Making The Team!’ “ I’ve only just found you guys so I’m catching up…living vicariously through you. My dance journey was as a gypsy, on and off Broadway. I wanted DCC and would have come but was hindered by: 1) the pay in the early 80’s and 2) I actually got cast in NY. Otherwise I might have tried anyway. Suffice it to say, some of my favorites are Maddie, Kat, and KaShera although I love them all. How can we not. I’m a retired dancer. I understand what these girls are going through. It’s HARD and only thick skin, perseverance, talent and a willingness to go through the fire will get you there. Our motto back then was “every no is just ONE step closer to my YES!” If you don’t think that way, the theater whether dance, acting, singing, playing instruments or a combination of any or all of these, will chew you up and spit you out in a heartbeat (and Never Look back).

Even outside Dallas too- There was a Caroline Panthers cheerleader who did it for 7 years. Shannon, I think is her name. I’m surprised if she wasn’t announced to be a Pro Bowl girl- she must had all the qualities to be one, and even lead her team. And in Japan, there is a famous cheerleading team called the Tohoku Golden Angels, which started I think the year before the Making the Team series. Aki, a initial member of the group, actually performed for almost 10 years. I’m surprised despite her contribution she never went to America to try out for a cheerleading team. Wow

I have feeling that many people look disparagingly at Cassie and that is mostly because her mother is the choreographer as well as a former DCC. Now, PLEASE let’s not split hairs. There have been numerous girls that were legacy, and THEY were Selected. However, Cassie is getting SO much hate. We All know why. We need to give the kid a break. Judy is harder on Her than anyone else Because she IS her daughter! If ANYONE should know what and how to perform it should be her. Truthfully, I’m surprised she made it. Judy would expect perfection. That was why she took herself OUT of the judging process when it was her turn. Be fair people. DCC is known for Excellence. They were not about to let someone subpar on the team because of genetics.

It's a choice. They can cheer as long as they continue to make the team I believe.

@@ednsav Correct. They can retire when they want. There is no fixed amount of years to be on the team. You can stay as long as you want. At the end of the day its about how much of yourself you can give to the team and to the organization. There have been instances where cheerleaders have gone beyond the five years.
