A ladder bo1 system helps that in all honesty. A lot of decks can't compete in a meta because they can't compete in a bo3. Some decks require game 1 cheese but after that the opponent just boards game 2 and 3 for it so in a bo1 you have the option to make a deck that wins by surprise.

Not gonna lie, in that last duel around when you summoned Chaos Angel, even I was like "Wait... didn't the opponent have penguins at the start?" Cause there became a point after the field wipe where just Kashtira cards were being played for a little while and I totally forgot he added a quirky side arc-type with it. Why was he allowed to do it before me, that's called priority my friend. Turn player always has priority to activate a card before the non turn player. This is not the same priority that they had back in the day, which was the dumbest shit ever. Turn player priority has always been a thing. Then for some reason they changed it to, a player can activate effect they shouldn't be able to activate, like breaker being able to pop a card before bottomless resolves, which is no longer a thing.
