Your post inspired me to look at the most recommended running shoes of my high school years. Around 2008. I was running in the ASICS Nimbus 10 at the time but hardly anything else out there. Nike Lunarglides. Saucony was starting to make a splash with the Triumph 6 but I hadn't heard of them, Brooks, or New Balance by then. Mostly just Nike and Adidas gym shoes besides ASICS.

Nike shoes can usually be had at a discount to retail pricing very soon after release. It's almost like they price their shoes high to tax the impatient and to capture some value from the resellers.

Picked up a pair of the adios pro 4 earlier today. I went with my tts contrary to what a lot of youtubers are saying and seems to fit fine with a little bit of room for the toes to swell up. Obviously haven’t run in it yet but not too worried.

Asics is my first choice for running shoes except for the race day as they're really narrow. I've seen the leaks and rumors and I can only be excited on what is to come but well, will not be able to wear it as someone who has a bit wider foot. I do hope the SC elite V5 keeps the width of V4. I know a lot of wide foot runners that their only choice is SC elite. Making it narrow will be a bit sad. But I do agree that it feels conservative and lacks a bit of pop compared to AF3. As always, excited to get your reviews on the 2025 shoes. I hope my wallet is ready. :D

Evo SL are legit , can do it all. Over 100 miles on them and easily my favorite trainer I have ever worn. I feel like it’s a really do it all shoe. I also ran a marathon in the Adidas AP4, very smooth and great shoe. Adidas has set the marker for 2025

Was sooo hyped to get sl evo - mostly because of your chanel - didn't get it on November/December release and you know what - now I decided NOT to get it in 2025 - there will be plenty of exiting shoes releasing in 2025 and im NOT gonna support this style of shoe release - to many good shoes to have time for this silliness 😅

Bro I think that’s what all the max stack shoes are for. They’re designed to protect all of the above that you’ve mentioned. Of course they’re not all created equal so you’re still going to have to put in your own research depending on what you’re looking for

@michaelklein23 bro, i can tell you that isn't one bit what max stack is for. max stack is for protecting people who don't have issues yet or very minimal issues, but at the most it's for charging more money for shoes. i'm talking about real research going into how to get people doing what they love who have unfortunately been afflicted severe issues

Ran 2:45 in 2019 with a pair of nike zoom fly 2 flyknit. For this last fall marathon I was poundering running in a pair of Nike ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% 2 that had around 60km but chose the Cielo X1 which I had bought mainly for training but liked them so much (softer on the legs in the long runs) that I chose to run my fall marathon in them

You just broke my heart. There will be no more Nike Invincible? I am 64 years old and these shoes were just perfect for old legs. Vomero and Pegasus can't compare to Invincible in terms of comfort. When you evaluate shoes you should understand that we are not all 40 years old and running marathons in 2:45.

I'm a couple runs into mine due to a back issue i've only run twice in last 4 weeks, but i like them so far. looking forward to getting out and really opening them up. i think the hate comes from the additional weight from the first version and the ride maybe isnt as lively, but more stable. i didnt try the first ones, so i have nothing to compare them too and be let down,lol
