2:55 That’s called a compressor stall, and happens when a disruption in the airflow through the engine causes a buildup and release of pressure inside, causing banging noises and often brief flashes of fire from the front or back of the engine. If the engine is throttled down fairly quickly, then the engine won’t suffer any major damage. And even if that engine fails, the other one is easily capable of keeping the plane in the air on its own. So it’s dramatic but not especially serious on its own.
