As a life-long Tulsan (65 years) I have no idea where this is located. Be nice if it gave at least the general location (other than just “middle of the city” (which I doubt it is.) She also says “If you’re a history buff this may be the spot for you” but early in the presentation she admits she doesn’t know the history of the house; so, why would being a history buff be any factor?

Oh friend, yes you DO KNOW this property! It has an exclusive old, vintage metal fence that is very close to the street and sidewalk. There are stone pillars at the entrance and there are TWO entrances. The fencing I think is ok to stay in its current configuration as it is grandfathered in. When you drive past it all you see is dense foliage. You have seen this property a gazillion times in 65 years of a resident. You just didn't notice it. The high price is NOT in the house. It is in the land. That unplatted acreage smack in the premium vintage properties is second only to that of the Philbrooks 23 acres. Or perhaps the Kaiser family estate now known as the Gathering Place? There may be a few others... K BROWN....You will find the former Patterson estate size of 7.01 acres at the SE corner of 31st and Peoria. The last tax bill was $1.5 million per year. It was assessed and valued at $13 million and sold in 2022. To an investment firm of Wyoming. The tax assessor reformulated the sq footage by nearly 1000 to 7,866 sqft. I think they had not been counting the basement. Friend I assure you, you have sat at that intersection at least once in 65 years. 🙋‍♀3105 S PEORIA AV E TULSA 74105

Yes; I know exactly the property now. And, yes I’ve probably sat at that intersection, trying to get a look at the house, I’d estimate about 3,000 times - given that I’ve lived my entire 67 years in Tulsa, very large portions of it in the Brookside area. It’s amazing how secluded that property has managed to remain over the many decades. If I could afford it that would be the exact spot I’d choose to live in Tulsa. What a beautiful home!

@@kbrown4ou I love the seclusion of the house placement from the street. And YES I too always try to get a peek at the house. This content gave me the opportunity to FINALLY see inside. I bet the investment group that purchased it will scrape that house and all that crafted wood work. And erect private homes or be forced by zoning to do a multi family high rise. I bet the latter is a battle they hadn't considered. Nice to exchange with you. Will wave at you next time the two of us find ourselves at that intersection! 🙋‍♀Be looking for a wave!

@@neilshinpaugh7523 Kasiser Family already did that. The GATHERING Place in Tulsa can't be topped. It does require guards to keep the COMMUNITY in check. Would be great if they were all forced to pitch in for security...those that use the park.

Tear down this monstrosity, and turn into a city park. It will never sell at asking price, but I could care less. I’m pretty sure there’s more to this story than is being revealed . I live in high end Scottsdale Az. And 15 million would be a real mansion with all the bells and whistles. Some owners live in la la land and have such a haute opinion of themselves that they use to reflect on their home. That’s just me. Good 👍 luck 🍀

The value isn't in the house. This content provider was mistaken in thinking the structure/ architecture/ improvements was what was being sold. Historical, YES. But the value is in the unplatted parcel of 7 acres in the most desired area of town. Unplatted means it hasn't been incorporated into or as a neighborhood or an HOA. It stands alone. It DID sell at $13m to an investment firm out of Wyoming. They will likely scrape the structures and build an exclusive gated walled enclave of very expensive quality built private residences OR they may be forced to build a multifamily opportunity. The new city planning depart is all about equality. The purchase may have BIT the investors in the patootie and also the utility easements will eat up that 7 acres as it is a corner.

15 million for a house with window units?

Value was in the land, not the vintage structure. The narrative of the story was off a bit.

They murdered all the prominent black folks to build a beautiful mansion. Sounds like Tulsa to me! lmao definitely a complete tear down of a property.

NO friend. They did not murder all PROMINENT citizens that day. Businesses were destroyed, YES that is true. Go to the census and read the loss of lives count. That number wasn't edited. And there were 10 of Caucasian ethnicity (no pure white race/ German/ English/ Scottish/ Native American Indian genetics) that also died June 19th. Find a historical source for facts other than Wikipedia that relies on contributions of the public that lean towards non fact checks. FYI: Greenwood District and the residents of that time era is 7 or more miles North of this location. YES there was a North Side and a South Side of Tulsa, still is, and some sort of ethnic division is found STILL in every US City. MONEY having wealth is NOT divided TODAY in 2024 as it was at the time of the Tulsa Race Riot. All ethnicities live, cohabitate and work united in Tulsa. Every neighborhood is open to ANY one that can foot the bill of the cost.
