I'm in Wisconsin, first time I've dealt with this in my life. Do you have any way of recommending someone who could help me in my area? I'm already anemic from Crohn's Disease & can't even lift my mattress or box spring due to an incident where I was s. assaulted, left for dead, & injured in October. I have anemia already & found one dead one. I also found a stink bug rifht where you'd normally look, but I have a feeling they're hiding in the box spring & in cracks. Also possibly in other rooms. I inherited furniture in 2014 after my grandmother died but also had my son back & forth with his father where they had mice inside the actual apartment complexes. So I am baffled & terrified cos I have heard that when u find one, there r ALWAYS more. Omg, it's just one thing after another for me. I'm in a side by side duplex with a bad spider infestation as well. The landlord's maintenance ppl have told me it is our responsibility to remove them, but the state statute says it IS the landlord's deal. They won't even fix the heat in my upstairs bathroom...some kind of electric heat inside the walls. Even I have Googled it & have found no info. Had bathroom toilet flood & had to kick over the space heater. Major fire hazard. So it's all way too much, & this is nuts. Please let me know if you can connect me to someone. Thank you so much.

Thanks for the response. I been getting a lot of mix answers. From throwing away everything, to treating every personal belonging and sealing it, to emptying all drawers and cabinets and spray on every cracks there. Vacuum everywhere, steam everywhere, And of course, sprinkling DE everywhere like it's winter. Then I see other places saying you don't need to do those things. Just basic cleanup so you can get around the house to spray/powder. Unless there are signs of bedbugs in a specific drawer/cabinet. Moving things too much might make them spread everywhere instead. Your information is a lot more helpful than most DIY on KZbin.

@@GreenAkersPC ...Hi thank you SO much for answering me. My husband has a follow up question. He wonders why concentrate is more effective than the aerosol He also wouldn't believe me when I told him that some people can be bitten by bed bugs and have no reaction at all. Can I get a confirmation from you on that? And, he asks if there is a big enough difference between the cheap sprayers vs expensive sprayers that we should consider buying one. We do not have a huge budget, and this is a struggle right now. If I got a 20 dollar (Chapin brand) gallon sprayer off Amazin to distribute CrossFire would it work just as well as an expensive sprayer... is there really a reason to buy an expensive sprayer if you aren't a professional. I and my 8 month old are in a homeless shelter in western NC. We have our own room (about 12x12x12) which also has a joining bathroom to another room on my side of the hall. We got here when she was 4 days old. 3 days after arriving they bombed the room across the hall for bed bugs. About 2 or 3 weeks later they did a heat treatment (frying the residents tv in the process) because they were still getting bitten. The pest control company moved the large furniture out into the hallway for the 4 hour heat treatment. ....... here we are months later and about a month ago I noticed an odd 'ink spot' on my pillow... then another, and then another. Then I found a bug on the bed near my daughter one afternoon and put it in a disposable milk storage bottle to inspect it. Then I googled "what do bed bugs look like?" and voila! :( So, I found a few more over the next week or so and since. Now I have about 30 in that bottle. I keep finding them and their shells in random stuff (LIKE FALLING OUT OF THE OUTTER EDGE OF MY BIBLE!!!). So, the director was pissed about the bed bugs and the more than $1,200 they had to pay out to treat the other room (which obviously didn't work ). Treated the family that lived in the room like it was their fault and the staff repeatedly told them how much they were costing the shelter and then did not help them with their deposits when their housing came thru (which they promise to do for all residents) which I think is because of the cost of pest control (which was not the residents fault!!!!)..... so I haven't said anything. I'm afraid to.... but I have a line down my spine of bites now and have to wrap my daughter in blankets and lay myself around her to make sure they only bite me (I think she's only been bitten once). We do have bed bug covers that the shelter made all residents put on mattresses and box springs after the treatment of the other room, and I stripped all bedding after I found about 10 and haven't replaced it so I can see them better (less places to hide?). And now (about 1 month after the first sighting) I have tons of little (to big) 'inky spot' on the bed and on my pillow on the side I put my back to.... Everything we own is in this room. I don't know what to do. I fear they will make me get rid of our things... I provide for my daughter and myself alone, on $230 a month, and can't afford to take everything to the laundry mat (we do have a standard washer and dryer here) like they made the other residents do. And I'm worried that if they do a treatment (chemical or heat) it would ruin packed electronics (like my dads mp3 player that is in 1 of my bags- I have no idea which one...). Also, dropped my phone in the bathroom and a bed bug fell out when the back came off! Is there a likelihood that my computer (which lives on my bed, along with my 3 phones) is/are infested? The director is also like an Aunt to me so I am even more leery to tell her. I have considered getting a cheap storage unit and washing and drying/ treating a few things at a time and then storing them until we get our apartment so there's less stuff in here if they heat treat..... would that work to make sure the bugs don't go with us? I know this is a shit-ton of info and a LOOOOOONG comment, but I feel like the longer it takes to figure this out the worse it will all be. So please, before I continue to peruse KZbin for ineffective crap and waste precious time, or they get to my baby, please help if you can........ THX!!!!

Alexondra Something I got your message and I will respond here AND facebook to try to help you the best I can. The main issue with shelters is that you do not own the building so doing any kind of pest control would be frowned upon and may not be allowed. More than likely your things are infested with bed bugs seeing as how one was in your phone already. It is a hard decision to make when you have very little and may end up having to get rid of those belongings. Personally I hate bed bugs and would be willing to toss my belongings just to keep them off of me. You may end up having to do this. I am sorry you are having this issue. Good luck.

Could you move to a different shelter? I agree about getting rid of your things. Also for help getting things again you could check with churches in your area, a lot of churches offer help with things from food to clothes and other necessities. Green Akers Pest Control LLC sorry I am just seeing this comment . I’ve Binge watching your videos for a while now . I have steamed every room in my house 4 times , including beds , couches etc.... I steam cleaned every wall , crown molding, and baseboard, then wiped it all down with rubbing alcohol! I got de for the outlets , and have been treating with crossfire. Tbh I’m probably doing overkill at this point . I originally sprayed the entire house , every nook and cranky with two bottles of the crossfire.... I treated the whole house twice two weeks apart. Now I’m spraying one bottle every two weeks in my bedroom and my living room , my common places in my home . I’m just unsure how long I need to continue to use the crossfire. This has been a butt load of work ! It’s rather expensive with me being on a fixed income . I haven’t been bit in 2 months at least . At least I don’t think I have 😂 .... seriously I think I have ptsd from these awful bugs , cause every itch I get I freak out 😂 is this a typical itch or a bb itch ? .... so I guess my question for you is how long do I need to continue to use the crossfire til I’m in the clear ? I do wanna say thank you for doing this channel, you are an amazing person for doing what you do ! I called a exterminator and felt so defeated when they quoted my a price for a heat treatment. Bugs bite til almost 5 am- gotta be huge infestation by now. I’ve been spraying Crossfire 2x a week since May. Cimexa in interceptors & edges of wall to wall. Please help?

I am ordering crossfire and will attempt to treat my room. 1. do you recommend vacuuming the bed after the crossfire has dried to remove any possibly remaining bed bugs? 2. Are you a fan of encasing the mattress in one of those zipper mattress covers? 3. How do you go about approaching the closet? Thank you again for these videos.

I would vacuum before application then next month when you apply again vacuum first again. I am only a fan of encasements AFTER you are sure the bedbugs are gone otherwise it’s a waste. I treat baseboards throughout the house

Ahh! Okay if anyone is dealing with this I'd recommend professionals! I tried the self treatment stuff and it drove them into the walls and even into my framed art and so gross and I'm sure they carry diseases and bite! But I found a company that let me make payments. It was $1200 to treat our whole house just in case...but ya I couldn't imagine living with that! Seriously call until you get one that will take payments. Or help you out if you need. Call and ask!! Seriously don't live with it. No human being should live with this. Thanks so much for all you do! It's nice to see God working through you and thanks for showing us what service means. :) I wanna serve like this in my job too. I do a sixth month rotation of my bed so the springs won't wear out too quickly. I noticed non itchy rashes again and thought crap them again and found a larva on my bed so I inspected the sides. Bed Bugs. First time ever in my 10 years of having apartments. So I took Lysol Wipe and used it to kill them and washed the sides with it to start. Where do you get the chemical? My grandpa has one of the sprayers. I can't remember the name of the chemical he has in it. Some sort of poison. I know he used to spray for ants in the house with it. I think he also uses it to kill poison oak. Idk if you can put other kinds of poison in it, or if the sprayer is interchangeable? All I know, is my mom and aunt picked up bedbugs over a year ago from a hotel in Vallejo. I managed not to get them in my room until a couple of months ago. I am going to buy Diatomaceous Earth. The whole house is infested now. My room was last safe room in the house. They have bought mattress covers and put them on their beds and box springs. And spent idk how much money on bye bed bugs spray. I have borrowed a steam cleaner and sprayed living room furniture. But idk if it gets hot enough to kill them instantly. I have sprayed my grandpa's chair several times. It seemed to work, for a few days. Idk what to do. My grandparents house is FILLED with antique dolls, salt n pepper shakers (over 1000 sets), just a ton of stuff. My grandma has made a lot of the porcelain dolls. So much priceless and valuable stuff in here. I am mad at my mom and my aunt. They should have done something before they spread. 2 months and I'm eat up. I just sprayed myself with bug repellent cuz I seen videos that show that keeps them from biting you. But now, I stink. 😂😭

My sectional is more like the first one but it's been thru some banged up moving processes from people being careless. I mostly am in my bed a lot as I'm so sick & it gets worse every year. I get bit but never see anything bite me. I never see anything on me. It used to happen when I'd sit on the couch. It happens when I would sit on the floor even after vacuuming back before further injuries. Wow. It's mind blowing that these things can detect our carbon dioxide/breath. It really is like monsters under the bed or something. Definitely not helping the insomnia 😢
