Muy interesante el Canal de Panamá que esta ubicado actualmente en mi país, realmente es una grandiosa historia y la manera en la cual se creó, resaltar que murieron muchísimas personas por estas construcciones pero que son muy beneficiosas para los países y para los panameños.

Golly gee, since they didn't say "ship", I thought it was the Puppy Canal! 🙄
@rodx5571
@rodx5571 Жыл бұрын
@@BigJeremyBeyer Hmmm, seems its not a canal at all. It would be the puppy ship channel. Canals generally have Lochs, The Houston ship channel does not. Panama CANAL does. But i am no expert. Also, a canal is man made, by definition, the Houston ship channel is not. The Packery (ship not puppy) channel in Corpus Christi Texas doesnt have lochs either. NOTE: Donnie Palmer is correct, it is the Houston Ship Channel. Have a nice day.

In my humble opinion these canals and waterways are really taken for granted under valued under used and not used to their full potential if they were previously used in the past for various tasks then surely they could be used again today converted or made useful in some ways perhaps for delivery or taxi etc..

They are just waterways. Their importance is mostly valued by those who live near them and use them most. Remember, we are all people of the world who make our lives on top of the dirt of the planet. Anything we have while we are alive we cannot take with us when we die. Our most important possession is the love we have with our family, friends and neighbors. God Bless You.

Northwest Passage is not a canal. If it is, then the Northeast Passage qualifies too. As we speak, Russia is building the Artic Silk Road and a $110 billion Artic megaport is 80% completed. On cities with canals, there are a few much older cities in China which have longer canals and have more tourists annually than Venice. And why no mention of the St.Lawrence Seaway canals?

This is really interesting, some of this canals are still being use, some are not, but the real question i ask, how many lives were lost in the build of all of them, i know about Panama Canal because there is where i'm from but knowing that some of them aren't being use and the lives were lost for nothing is really sad. But it's educative to know about all of them, helps learn about the world of before, how they did things and the hard work this must have been.

Very educational and informative but it is most unfortunate that the information about the Suez Canal is incomplete hence incorrect since it was first built and used by the great Persian King Darius the great and used to attack Greece by passing the Persian navy through it to reach Greek islands on the Mediterranean Sea. I hope this is helping to complete a very comprehensive video.

Canal Travelling is Odd, But To Have Such Plan is Serious Freedom but Like a Stunt Due to Risk(What Urgency Was It?). A Cruise in a Tight Area(Soil/Sand) is the Risk. Anyway Maybe it is a Way To Create an Activeness To Rule Life(To Harass), like an Example? "if Spot is a Loss" as May Create Harassment to Ownself(in Country in Public)? Where is 5mins 17s, who created it?

I find it odd that until the climate change allowed for a real possibility of opening the NorthWest Passage there was no issue with anyone over Canada claiming the waterway as part of it's territory. As soon as it became a real possibility it was claimed to be an international waterway just to deny any economic benefit to Canada who would have to provide rescue services and bear the brunt of environmental cleaning if any incident requires it.

It's about money. Companies don't want to pay extra costs for ships going anywhere they don't have to. None of us are different trying to save on shipping fees.

So you would rather Canada be responsible for the ship wrecks? Do you know how many ships and lives have been lost near Canada?
@jaquigreenlees
@jaquigreenlees Жыл бұрын
@@lyfewithpiglet582 I would rather not have Canadian taxes spent on the cleanup from wrecks there for ships going elsewhere and just using the route. Having it as Canadian waters means fees for use and those fees reduce the tax dollars needed to clean messes. Either way, Canada will have to clean up from any messes when it's used.

Sorry America and the other nations disputing it. The north west passage does pass primarily in Canadian sovereign waters in most places. I’m quite sure the stretch that travels off the north coast of Alaska is certainly considered American. So with that said open those cheque books shipping companies !

Small correction here: The expression Venice of the North, or Dutch Venice or Hollands Venetië (in Dutch) is not user for Amsterdam, but for the small village of Giethoorn. This is a small village that actually has no roads at all, but needs the canals for transport of goods, people and life stock.

America did not invade Panama. Ol' Teddy jumped onboard with the Panamanian hatred of Daddy Colombia, who had refused America's plan. So Teddy set up a puppet regime in Panama, paid off the Colombian Army in the Panama region to go home and was the first world leader to recognize Panamanian independence (🤔wait...didn't I see you at the beach club last year ? 🥸)
