finally a great review on this camera. There are so many so called reviews were they do a puppet show with no audio or speaking or specs or pros or cons on the camera. I have a question though using the iPhone as a monitor does it really chew up your battery life running the app? also do you have to run the app all the time? or can you launch the app up pretty quick to see a noise or check on what the camera sees? is it a long time to boot the app and get a view of the camera and what it seeing? "another words is it a hassle to launch the app every time you want to glance at the cameras view?"

actually these two are produced by two branches from the same mother company. so they don't have intellectual property problem. even the manufacturing company is the same. xiaofang is bascially the 1080p update version of this one, and much cheaper

I keep hearing about this home security company called Armorax these days. Saw their commercial the other day and was impressed, and then a few days later I saw their system at a friend's house. Great thing about their system is you don't need a land line or internet connection, it's 100% celluar

iSmartAlarm went out of business, bad application, no support. Nowdays meshare is supposed to acquire the existing client base along with their devices. If you are an existing ismartalarm user, meshare portal doesn't let you login into their portal, ismartalarm app doesn't work anymore and the meshare app doesn't accept your device neither by qr code nor by bar scan or manual input of device ID. I have sent email to meshare support and i am waiting for their response.

Djokkins the thing is that if you have the ismart alarm package it's better to buy the spot camera. It will work altogether in harmony and you can control it via cube. Also, they frequently have sales where you get two for one or each at $50 price point. Great system, I've been using it for over 11 months now and I am very happy with it!!

did you even watch the video the guy covered that topic pretty well and explained that this is a usb micro power cable so if you have to use it via battery you can use a USB charging brick like he DEMO in the video... Geeze some people. Then their are two thumbs up so that means there are least 3 people who dont pay attention. Wow... If you really had to you can place a car battery and put a 12volt cig USB charger too so it pretty much the same as any silly camera that has a battery pack that is limiting on capacity and duration of power because size of battery. You can use a small USB CHARGING BRICK or a large one if you need it to last longer. If you need it for a afternoon watching the dogs or the rug rats some other place use a small USB battery brick. How hard is this people.

I am willing to help. There is an power adapter and a micro USB Cord in the very beginning of the review. That's like asking "how to I charge my phone?" I was joking around. Really need to chill and stop attacking people for no reason.

didnt mean to attack, was just asking if somebody had to steal anything they would simply plug-off the charger as it would be right next to the cam. who knew what happened after that? no brainer. or even if they didnt but somebody else did, irrespective of any reason, takes away the securely ALWAYS ON and functioning camera, one would want. is there anyway you can get this cam powered via an electric cable that runs directly from inside the walls(AC) and not via a usb charger? or a hub that can support long wires thereby supplying power to it? and anyways how long can a charging cable get, makes no sense unless you just wanna monitor a baby

Well it's positioned to be a flexible camera. This is not meant to be the ultimate smart home alarm, there is no monitoring or anything like that. People can always cut the main power to your home. People can always find a way to block your cameras. If they want to break in they will. This is just a way to monitor your home and see what's going on at all times. For this price you can't expect it to be a full fledged ultimate security cam. You can always plug in the USB cord behind the wall but look at this camera for what it is. It's great for monitoring and for alarms, it's small and it's portable.
