This train is far much better than any other so called premium train in terms of food. At 9:30, the train was crossing the Mandovi river from where it got its name. The good thing is that the "Food King" is still running with an iconic EMD despite the entire KR is being electrified way back 😊😊😊

I traveled in the same train from Mumbai(CSMT) to Goa(mao) in July.. Except the veg biryani(horrible) and gulab jamun(ok ok)...rest I tried were superb( sheera upma, bread cutlet, methi bhaji, sabu Dana vada, tomato soup, chicken lollipop, vada pao & tea)... Sad that you didn't try their signature sheera upma ! A bit pricey, but way better than most of the premium trains' foods.
