I'm American and I have a genuine question: I live by Detroit and "blud"/"blood" means the gang Blood. I'd get shot if I ever said that word. What does that mean to Englishmen? Did it come from over here or from somewhere else? You guys also say "brazy", which..., 🤯, here that is also a major Blood word. They don't say words that start with a C because those are "Crips" words. They replace all words starting with a C into a word with a B, making the word "brazy". I am fully aware of just how uncool I sound, lol. I'm also not being the "Word Police". It's just crazy to hear those words being said in such a casual conversation to me when I'd be murdered over it. Even if I truly didn't know the meaning and was just repeating it. I'm very nervous for the people who will unknowingly say that/those words. 😬 I'm genuinely curious of the origin of those words there. Do you, or anyone else, happen to know? 🤔
