There was something special about late 2000s to early 2010s Monster Jam. Maybe it’s nostalgia because I was just a kid back then (I’m 20 now), or maybe the trucks and drivers weren’t as advanced back then so everything seemed so new and spectacular. I vividly remember almost every moment up to 2017 with that front flip. There’s no denying that the trucks today can handle a lot more and the drivers are much more skilled, but it just doesn’t seem as special anymore. Especially now that Tom Meents is retired, Dennis Anderson has been gone for a while, and Scott Douglas hasn’t announced for a while.

No you’re exactly right. Something about drag racing and Monster Jam back in those days were everything to me as a kid back on the SPEED channel. I also have no knowledge of Monster Jam after the front flip, crazy lmao. I wish it were still as cool, not sure if it was less skilled drivers, or childhood bliss. But we got the Urban Assault games, flashes going off every camera when they hit the jumps, and the iconic intro; WHOS READY FOR MONSTER JAM!!!! good times

I am looking for one from the 90s. Blacksmith rolled it on the lid in the dumpsters they kept around the edges as protection for the fans, and then digger came out and did one or two moves and parked it before Dennis ran back got a second truck and came out to flatten his first one. I think he may of went and got a third truck as well. Pretty sure he won it that year.
