It is from the lord of the mahadasha. Here he was talking about moon in Ashwini nakshstra which is ruled by Ketu. So all the calculations were based on placement of Ketu in Virgo.

First of all thanks for this beautiful series of 4 videos on Importance of Nakshtras. I am also born in Ketu Mahadasha in Ashwini Nakshtra. When I calculated based on the technique mentioned in the video and calculated my 10th Nakshtra degree-cally from the Nakshtra where Ketu is sitting, I got Uttra Phalguni, and it is said in the video that it would be auspicious for all spiritual practices and sadhna. However, when I saw it in my Navtara Chakra (Janma, Sampat, Vipat, Kshmea, Pratyak, Sadhak, etc.), this Nakshtra comes under VIPAT, that is not good for me as per my Janma Nakshtra that is Ashwini. Could you explain it to me which theory to be used.....? I would be waiting for your reply as I am a student of astrology and looking forward to attain knowledge from this video series.

The start of Mahadasha is only one for entire life then subsequently follows the rest of mahadashas..so I think it is only for Mahadasha planet..that is your born Nakshatra lord.. is what he mean..

Ketu nakshatras are aswini (in aries) magha ( in leo) and mool in saggi. There is no ketu nakshatra in scorpio. what is the moon nakshatra in ur question

Regarding the calculation of 4th, 7th and 10th nakshatras, the explanation starts at 1:43. Calculation of 4th nakshatra is quite clear. You have to see the degrees of your mahadasha lord (suppose it is 15 degrees) then we have to go to the 4th house from the house of the mahadasha lord and see which nakshatra is there in 15 degrees. Up to this it is clear. For 7th nakshatra do we have to find 7th house from house of mahadasha lord and proceed as before or calculate 7th nakshatra from the nakshatra at 15 degrees of mahadasha lord's nakshatra ? I have same doubt about finding 10th nakshatra. Strangely, the 19th nakshatra in 9th house is right (at least in my case). Sir, kindly explain.
