There is a short cut for calculating the number of reissued shares: capital reserve = no. of reissued share * gain per share In ques 7 you can directly do it => 6000 = no. of reissued share * (4-1) => No. of reissued share = 2000 It is applicable for every question of this type. You can try it yourself Hope it Helps.

Q9) 30:09 sir I've discovered a formula for this type of questions, this was also in 2024 ISC sample paper. so the formula is, Let the number of shares reissued be, x x = [amt. transferred to capital reserve + discount on reissue] ÷ profit on forfeiture (amt. on shares forfeiture credit balance divided by number of shares forfeited) in this question, we can use it as, x = [6000+1x] ÷ 4 => 4x = 6000 + 1x => 4x-1x = 6000 => 3x = 6000 => x = 6000÷3 .•. x = 2000 shares. NOTE: here discount on reissue is 1x because it's the amount discount multipled with the number of reissued shares. Also note, if there's premium on reissue, the discount on reissue is considered zero. Can I get a pin/heart/shout-out sir? 😊🥰
