The foot stance Mitch picks it up in is crazy too, he's practically immediately running with it. Other strongmen need to take note, littoe thinngs like that help a lot.

The only worry with Mitch is the way he pushes like that could subject him to rough injury issues as time goes on. Once those start piling up you start to not be the same athlete anymore.

@@LukaszKopeiro Mateusz was pretty damn good at moving with weight too. I don't see his tricep injury holding him back on stuff like Yoke, Frame etc but I think he's still a bit weary of his tricep with overhead, and he needs to stop beating himself up so much, you can tell he's thinking bad thoughts when he fails a lift or something, like moreso than someone else lol.

I said it before on Moose's channel but I think we may be witnessing the dawn of a new era. Like the glorious rivalry between Big Z and Brian Shaw before them, both Mitch and Oleksiy are at the top of the game and I think we can expect a lot of back-and-forths between them. Both have outstanding conditioning, both are young, both are very active on the competition scene and both are only getting better. The future is bright!

If only there was the Polish Terminator too. People would not be able to sit watching that. The Moose versus The Polish Terminator and Novikov is about to go next or just put down an incredible time. But this was great, too. The Moose really is a breath of fresh air in strongman and the field is already much deeper than in years past. I think Mitch specifically found a way to leverage the weight forward, forcing acceleration, thus making running with the weight mandatory. Sure, every Strongman thinks they could do that, but only few really understand how to use the weight itself to accelerate their pace. Mateusz also kinda does that, and he's a GOAT at yoke as well. Mitch had to run that fast in order to not drop the weight forward.

Agreed, his torso is bent forward, his knees never locked and toes pointing outward. It's like someone trying to not get folded by a heavy squat on the descent. Only while moving.

I also noticed that he had the bar set quite low given his height, the yoke seemed quite high off the ground compared to other athletes, I Deffo think having that extra gap between the floor and the yoke helps to tilt the weight backwards and drive the person forward without the front of the Toome digging into the floor
