I still have my 91 gsxr 1100 1371 crower rods, billet r&d trans, megacycle cams, Coby Adams built. It was the quickest and fastest street bike in the Washington metropolitan area 96 til 2003 Oil cooled til the casket drops.

Since a comment was asked for in the video, I will share my experience with a bike similar to this. I had a friend named Norman Hawkins who lived in Kentucky. He had a similar bike that I (think) he told me was a 1440cc 1988 GSXR-1100 that was built in New Jersey by a man named Joe Carocio or "Caricio Engineering" . This was prox-1995 when I rode this bike. It was an all motor, "8 over swingarm, that was fast at the track & could be driven any day. The reason I rode this bike was the spring tension on the carbs was so demanding, Norman needed a break from his right hand. The bike rode & preformed great on the street but that throttle tension was just torture. But the bike was great, it even handled great for a lowered beast with a over-streached swingarm. For a long cruise, that throttle just became a choir-lol. Anyway- just wanted to comment on a big bore, fast GSXR-1100 from our past 😊

Old school rules...i have the cleanest 91 red and black. Ricksmith motor. Yes,1020s stock. Now it goes low 9s all motor. 5stacks is a steal fpr that classic. These bikes sound so good.

a 1340 kit built right is probably closer to 30k than 20k I had 45 in my 1550 kit on my 93 GSXR but I did not build the motor I had it done..

I have a 1980 gs1100e, stroked and bored to 1500 with light weight internals, never been to the track but it does over 90 in first gear and the speedometer only goes to 85. Just started having stator or rotor problems it started fouling out plugs when i get over 3000 rpm.

thats good thing phones have gps apps and with elm 327 dongle allows you to see all the data in real time like temp rpms tps and anything else and race cars first now new cars basically have tablet as entire dashboard and can control everything from radio to air conditioning

I have a 90 stretched GSXR1100 in my barn right now - unfortunately, not mine. It looks a lot like this one. No nitrous, but 41 FCR's, same wheels, 12" stretch swing arm, frame sides and swing arm are mirror polished, VHR Sidewinder, etc. I don't know what is in the engine, but it feels and sounds like it has more than stock compression and probably cams and head work done. It feels much stronger than a stock GSXR1100, and there are signs the engine was apart before. I'm rebuilding and sorting out the carbs, building an alloy air box with a filter so the engine and carbs have a fighting chance of lasting a while, fixing some sketchy wiring and questionable chassis / body mods, putting twin front rotors and a speedo drive back on it, and getting it set up and ready for street use for the owner...it is his first street bike.....ever.....

I had a 93 GSXR with a 1550 kit and almost made that call but I have been off bikes for 20 years so I would not live longe on that being the 1st bike back in 20 years. I hope it finds a good home.

No you didn't!!!! Stop lying!!! It is flat out impossible to take a watercooled old school that big. The crank throw would be through the cases. Billet block, offset pistons, with the biggest crank ever made wont get you that 1550cc. Period. The oil cooled gsxrs require a tremendous amount of work to go that big. It aint no "kit". Either you don't know what you had or you're full of shit. End of story.

@@theyrealltaken3 your are right it was not a kit I was friends with a lot of the guys at falcon and they made a custom crank for it and a guy in Orlando that built a lot of the AMA bikes did the rest of the work. the trials rider Jeof anders bought it from me and he has it now site un seen off a Dino slip and a time slip just before he bought it the head mechanic at Honda west in Tampa tried to do a compression test and blew up his brand new snapp on gauges. you can say what ever you want I don't care because I am the one that made a shit load of money racing it on the street agenst guys like you that thought the slowest GSXR would never beat their nos feed busa. but it never lost a race. I blow a head gasket in Detroit racing a busa on NOS and still beat him by 10 bikes my last pass at desoto was 8:60 at 156 and that was slow I was in a tank slapper from 2nd gear on. my best time 7:42 172. that was all motor no juice or power adders top speed across the gandy bridge in Tampa on radar 213. and would still run mid 7 in the quarter. so yes I did not build it so I am going by what I was told it had in it by the guys that did but. I mouse trapped it coming out of a corner at 100 mph by selecting the wrong gear (3rd instead of 4th) and going to full throttle. just on gas no clutch.
