on and on is a throw back to scape goat.. probably the first song that blew up ever for him and was played on college and indy radio across the nation. But I think lots of this is about his place in art; he always illustrated life as an artist. I think lots of what he is saying is that as he finally felt his life begin as an adult with children he has already been sketching his place in hip hop or music; but it was a small piece of the larger pictures. His life; his fans lives; etc.... And I could be completely wrong. LOL; but atmosphere's music is amazing. They have been in my favorite artists for over 20 years.

Jeez Ant brang it with these beats...Slug is the most slept on story teller rapper...he's got the maddest ability to tell a story from someone else's perspective and create such an incredible narrative.. He puts his heart on his sleeve and holds no punches with his honesty..

Atmosphere are incredible, not sure how I discovered them as a kid probably through Eyedea. They have many masterpieces under their belt, can't think of a bad album.

My favorite artists always have one thing in common: stark honesty. Its so attractive to me. Hes also a very skilled poet and writes beautifully. Where Eminem is clever and sometimes juvenile and likes to wrexk technical wordplay, Slug is truly Rhythm And Poetry. Ants beats have always been so fucking good. The production and sound is so unique and kinda bluesy and Full, like you said. So happy ive seen them live (with Brother Ali which is another artist to add to your list, lots of good ones but Uncle Sam Goddamn is a classic now)
