Out of any list, Masters Tournament wins should be treated with caution. Because since 2008, Masters are mandatory and best of 3 sets finals only. Prior to that, Masters finals were mostly best of 5 and not mandatory. Since 2008 it is easier to rack up the numbers.

Borg GOAT period.
@Summon256 Жыл бұрын
@@darryldanzinger9996 No, he wouldn't because there was a drastic and sudden change in racquet technology since 1985 and we all know Borg was too stubborn and stuck in the past to move forward with technologies trying to adapt like McEnroe and Connors were trying to at least (they weren't successful, but at least they were still reaching semis and quarters of every important tournament during the rest of the decade!)...he would struggle with tech since 1985, just like he struggled during his attempted "comeback" in early 90's, which backfired spectacularly! At most he would have won 2-3 more french opens and maybe extra Wimbledon title (though I personally doubt it, but maybe he would have won in 1982 instead of Connors...) maybe he would finally get one USO title eventually too, but thats about it. As for the masters equivalent from the 80's judging at the pace he was going he would probably add only 7-8 more tops and maybe would have reached ten more finals, but that is his absolute ceiling...

Most people still do not comprehend what Djokovic was able to accomplish in his career so far.And I am not talking only about the number of GS titles won, but I am including the total output: 23 GS+6WTF+38ATP1000, and all this against 247 top 10 opponents, while spending 389 weeks as no.1.Djokovic alone won more GS than Lendl, Connors and Wilander put together, he spent more weeks as no.1 than Nadal and McEnroe together, and has won more Masters titles than Sampras and Agassi together.The best part is, Djokovic is far from finished, and it is one thing to say that you will break all the main records in tennis, quite another to do it.

@@Smileater It's just your opinion. Novak as well as Sampras or McEnroe has never achieved a one year Grand Slam - contrary to Rod Laver who did it twice, with a pause in eight years. I should stress a single point only - there are different eras in tennis history, and speaking of 'the best' is simply meaningless.

If at least 2 ATP 1000 on grass would have been every year, federer would have reached at least 35 finals in 20 years and won minimum 25 titles and is final appearances would have been 85 finals ( 53 win and 32 losses) it is a shame and disgrace to this sport that not even 1 ATP 1000 is on grass surface. Federer in all respects the greatest sportsman of all times ( it is a shame that there are 3 ATP 1000 tournaments in clay, monte Carlo, Madrid, rome, every year and nil in grass )

That's a complete nonsense. 25 titles between 2 tournaments, are you crazy?
