Warden and hito are particularly good against scripters because script can't input read when the bash charge will be released. And since %99.99 of the scripters are dogshit at the game they won't GB punish you for whiffing a bash

If I come across a scripter, I always swap to a character with a chargeable bash that I can feint. (Usually Warden or Warmonger) I have yet to come across a script that can reliably counter the bash mix-up, so they either eat almost everything, or they turn off their script and get clapped by actual mix-ups. Bonus points because it also usually makes them upset.

Btw warden is the script counter because the script can't understand the long charge bashes so the script dodges eariler which lets you get the full charge off to land the fully charge bash or feint to get the dodge attack parry.

Yeah scripting has made playing duels, ranked duels, and brawls on pc almost unplayable. I moved from xbox rep 250 to pc (currently rep 7) and I would say about one in every 3 games you fight a bot that doesn't throw a single attack and parries anything you throw first frame or dodges perfectly every time, or you fight someone who is just obviously cheating. In ranked it's even worse almost every game I play I run into someone with an auto parry script or they have some wifi shit going on that kicks me from the match or I can't see anything that's happening. I know it gets better once you get more reps but I honestly don't wanna grind against cheaters for that long just so I can enjoy the game somewhat normally. If you really doubt that it's that bad trying making a brand new pc account and play for a few hours it's genuinely unplayable.

Most of the time when people stand still they are focused af, thats what i do and thats what i observed in general. Some mf's out there are really just that good. If he tries to do the same punish over and over again you can counter it with another move. It becomes a problem when they react and counter literally EVERY move.

I fought my first scripter the other day in a breach match. I was a conq and no one on our team had chargable bashes and they guy would just stare at us until his team showed up or he got revenge from attacks, so what we did that worked pretty well was have somebody go for a bash while another threw a heavy when he was mid dodge and he got hit with almost every time

Every fighting game has the same core mechanic of attacking is mechanically suboptimal. Frame 1 reactions make every move unsafe in every title. For Honor doesn't have valuable chip on block because it's a multi-man game so 1v1s devolve into stare contests.
