One of the greatest pop vocalists of all time, and equally good at country and gospel.

Whenever I hear people sing along with performers at concerts, it reinforces to me how narcissistic and untalented people are these days. If they had any talent themselves, they'd be focusing more on the singer's performance and listening closely to all of the subtle nuances, plus they'd be listening to the performances of the background instrumentalists and vocalists. But most people don't have enough musical talent to really be able to discern or single out these elements to be able to hear these things. To them, the melody and the words are the only things that they are capable of hearing, which also explains why so many people like songs for their lyrics, while to a musician, lyrics are meaningless, the beauty is in the music. And then, people are so all about themselves, they are compelled to sing and drown out the performer, as well as well as spoil the experience for other people who would much rather hear the actual performer who they paid to see, not their fellow drunk audience member's drunk ugly voice.
