Hey late to the party but I just wanted to thank you for doing something few content creators do, explain things so well even an idiot like me can understand. Usually I see videos and people just name the spells they pick, armor etc. but no one truly explains it like you did, like you gave examples boss fights and HOW to use this build, when to use spells etc. I'm subbed gonna watch all your build videos. I've been running a build I've called "Land & Sea" which is a hybrid earth and water build with the Hook Blades of King Helu as my main weapon. It's a lot of fun, the stealth helps massively when navigating levels and Imposing Slab hits really hard in boss fights. Not to mention the faster weapons are great for spirit build up.

I'm running a stone build myself atm, but it's focused more exclusively on spells with a larger emphasis on buffs as opposed to innate stats. It's also in the blue on weight, max agility. At lvl 140, I have 36 wood, 36 metal and 70 earth virtues. You could run it at minimum lvl 15 with 2 Wood, 8 earth, 7 metal, it'd just be shite. I'd suggest at least lvl57 (15W 30E 15M) to start off. Tianzhu Hermit set at 4*, identical embeds on every piece. Stone Damage #, Damage Recieved % /or/ Positive Duration % Earth Phase spell cost reduction % Stone Attack power %. I use the 4* Jade green staff on my offhand (Option Art: Dragon Flash); Stone attack power # Damage to enemies with Heaviness % Spell duration % As my main weapon I have the 5* Pair Swords of aspiration, they aren't for damage, just low spirit cost deflects and a quick martial art. (Option Art: Beckoning Pine); Stone attack power # Damage to enemies with Heaviness % Spirit gain from normal attacks % (Drop this for the 4* version) Power Drop on martial art * Bows are whatever you want, tiger hunting bow scales with Metal so I chose that (and a colonel repeating crossbow just for ammo efficiency lol). Identical stats; Damage recieved % /or/ Positive Duration % Damage dealt % Stone attack power # Spirit Gain % /or/ Luck # I'm using 2 5* seals with only 1 actually being useful for only 2 of its skills, the other just has drop rate up lol; HP restoration from wizardry spell damage Damage Reduction upon HP recovery My stone attack power is +104 and +12.4%, damage reduction is -8.5% (Positive duration is +13%), Earth spell reduction is -8.4%, and spell damage recovers A- HP. Recovering HP via wizardry gives me Damage Reduction, hitting with a spell gives me Power Gain, and hitting with a martial art gives the enemy Power Drop. My Spells are 3 Stone and 1 Poison or wood, depending on what I want; Imposing Slab /or/ Stone Spike at low morale Enhanced Defence Mighty Shockwave And last slot is any of the below Calamity Bolts Life Wither Unstoppable Force Sandsink I use Enhanced Defense out the gate, hit with a martial art on my paired swords, then Calamity bolt/Life Wither. After that, I basically just use Slab/Spike, and poke the enemy to get spirit once it's in the red. In pvp I use Sandsink then Mighty Shockwave, players tend to be squishy and even if shockwave is weak, it can absolutely punt even high lvl players. As far as armour goes, Evil Taoist set is objectively better but I don't have 9* leather which is fucking cringe. Still, it's strong and tanky, and it absolutely fucking annihilates crouching dragon to the point even Lu Bu is actually weak, you'll hard carry in recruits, smash in pvp, and make bosses cry. In rising dragon, the defense skills and hp regen is a godsend, and trivializes everything to the level of being a lukewarm challenge at best, and pathetically milquetoast at worst. All in all, it's overpowered as all fuck, to the point it might make the game a bit cut and dry even. Use at your own risk.

It doesn't matter what build you have. As long as you put the right stats into what ever your weapon does. You can become powerful with the right points. Max 30 plus in each.

I have found earth to be the cornerstone in basically all my builds. Run a min of 29 earth on all my builds for the equipment weight reduction.

Exact style of build I was looking for, Mortal. Have you tried out the Triumphant Conquest glaive? I believe it has more damage, but I do not know about the scaling. One of it's Martial Arts is pretty lackluster though, in my opinion. Though it can provide another defensive buff at high spirit.

So I did try it out and it did the same damage as the azure dragon glaive. By using that glaive with the Ser set you get the 8% Glaive damage bonus

Still have yet to see a build look and play crazier than what I accidentally discovered. It's a wood build primarily. But using fierce Zhang FEI armor set, with lady haos dual halberds as main weapon(only dual Halberd I've found that scales with wood) then as much as u can into wood with whatever left over into fire, you put lightning dmg buffs on armor and weapon, then using the spell enchant weapon with it and the heal per hit spell, then u can spam the unique weapon art the weapon has at least 8-10 times b4 spirit var is full. But by that time I've yet to fight a boss that isn't ready to be criticized at that point therefore refilling spirit and allowing the spam fest to resume. I played the build with a buddy that has over a hundred hours and has tried a ridiculous amount of builds, and even he was mind blown at how broken it is....like literally broken.. 😳 I hope someone else tries this so they can see easy mode turned on. Also note that the martial art animation is so fast and does a backstep b4 doing a tornado attack around the enemy that it acts as a dodge too. Allowing spam and eggs to never stop. If n e one tries this I would love to hear your opinion. Again yet to see a build as crazy and I check youtube daily for builds lol...

Nope it isn’t! You get the best of melee and spells with incredible movement and heavy armor. And with these weapons no matter what virtue you put your stats in between the two, they basically do the exact same damage no matter what. Best of like 4 worlds

How to you increase your poison damage/proc? Do you put poison damage and accum embedments on your armor? Or just your weapon? Do you need to buss weapon with poison for it to work? Does it only work for spells? That's the part that confuses me a bit.

Poison accumulation on enemies Poison accumulation on self would just proc it on you,try Negative accumulation on enemies With accumulation on enemies And respec stat into metal So it can deal more dmg with dmg dealt that is multiplicity to your set and weapons

I have the hammer because I like to smash, this build ends up with both weapons having the same stats because they scale almost the same. I like hammer martial art ability, and no matter how you rework the stats they always end up about the same close to max damage for these stats.

I don’t know that it works that way, but I may just not know. You just have a resistance for certain types of armor and upgrades are the only bumps to armor to my knowledge.

ehhh IMO you are good maxing out earth at 30-40. You get no real benefit going any further and I find at 30 you can wear heavy armor and move around with a B agility, just my opinion. I would put the other investments in fire and then tertiary be wood (if you want to be more of warrior) or metal (if you want to be more of spellcaster).

40 in earth is needed for the "Illusionary Shell" wizardry spell. Also the used weapons in this video get attack bonus A from earth and B from metal, when upgraded. For the record: As far as I get it, with 21 in earth virtue, you get the agility B rating with the "Ser Magnificent Beard (With Sky High Righteousness)" set used in the video. With the "of Grandeur (Elai the Warrior of Old)" set from the DLC you need 47 in earth virtue for the agility B rating. With the "Dread Star of Hejian (Pride of the Indomitable Champion)" set you need exact 40 in earth virtue for the agility B rating. I know you did not ask about this, but maybe it helps others.
