It surprised me a lot, because the ideology remained the same. I know that when you release African nations as puppets, either as commie or fascist, you get some very over the top spicy country names and some surprisingly badass flags, but Switzerland is democratic by default and got puppeted as democratic. I made them into a puppet of every ideology before; except for democratic, since I figured that because they already start as democratic, they would stay the same. Clearly not. A very nice easter egg, I would say.

Oh, I love this! First, singing "Swallowing dust" while invading Afghanistan, and now "Oh Tannenbaum" while invading Switzerland. In case someone doesn't know: The angry mustache model actually had plans, in real life, to invade Switzerland, and the codename was "Operation Tannenbaum", hence the song here. Also back in HOI III, you could have "Operation Tannenbaum" as a victory condition for the Axis, if you wanted, but I think it was turned off by default. Eh, it's been well over 10 years since I played HOI III, so not sure. Anyway, good video!
