For the M728, You really gotta use the scroll wheel range adjustment. It can do pretty well if you do that, most things just get deleted if they get hit, and if you get in a position to lob shells over a hill, you're invulnerable and it's hilarious. Also don't shoot heavy tanks where they have 200mm of armor. That doesn't end well. Sincerly, an avid Centurion AVRE player.

I decided to spade all of rank 1 ground a few weeks ago and oh god I never imagined how bad it was going to be. One of the big ones being The semi removed french starters. What made things worse was dealing with people who only play rank one, i found a guy who had somewhere around 38,000-40,000 kills in the the RBT5 He only played that vehicle and it was his clan name.

Found out recently that Hesh does not have overpressure on direct hits, so that huge amount of tnt the 165mm hesh shells have is completely useless, even though hesh is supposed to be a way to make HE more effective against hard targets in game it does the opposite, HE is just better

Gladiator my man, C13 is a beast, you just need to use HESH instead of that pitiful HEAT round. HESH is wierd OP on this, very often oneshot anything i shoot at. Keep a few HEAT rounds for more armor pen.

I had same situation with type 60 ATM. So I pushed him back and he died because of this. Entire match we were “fighting” until he spawned in fighter with rockets and tried to kill me but missed and died ( I was standing still so big skill issue)

I'm only a recent player of WT. And I've only played French line of vehicles right now (I'm just reaching Tier4). I find them nice but really hard to play against Russian or German tanks. Are French tanks bad in this game ?

@fridaycaliforniaa236 oh boy, it's...difficult to say...pro players would tell you france will be more enjoyable late game after you researched lots of other tech trees. And new/early players will often tell you to just skip it in favor of Germany or USSR. For me I simply decided one day when I barely had 27h of gameplay on the game that I would take on the french tech tree and one day finish it. It was and is still hard but I simply don't give up, now maybe it's because I'm french and I got the passive ability of "strong military nationalism" but that doesn't mean everything. Each tier and rank plays differently, france changes it's vehicles a lot and thus it's way of playing. For example, the Char 2C, the B1 bis/ter, big boy tanks, gameplay wise it's just run in and kill. Then France switched to mobility and firepower completely disregarding armor, gameplay wise meant that I adopted the "RAT" tactic: constant flanking and hit n run tactics. I think for you that is now at Tier 4 (pretty epic in my opinion) you should just keep on playing, if you have the AMX-M4 you are gonna have a lot of fun. Just learn the usual tactics used by players at tier 4 and you'll quickly realize every nation, even though it's different players, have the same tactics. Knowing them depending on the map played let's you avoid danger when you know it's coming and where to flank to have the best kills. My exemple is that when flanking with the AMX-M4 I always check for little M56 that usually have the same idea while making sure to not get to much behind the enemy with their spawn in my back as they will find you pretty easily. Anyway that's my take on france, I've been playing it for a while now and I'm still at 7.7 battlerating. Best BR ever for france. If you're having a hard time just try to set back, observe your current tactics, the ones often used by others, maybe even take a break from this tech tree if it's really hard. But you'll see, as long as you keep coming back and keep playing france you'll eventually find out it is one of the best nations in game.
