Gday Mates, its time to learn the most popular Aussie slang words used in Australia. Aussie Slang is used in every day to day life down under and we find ways of shortening any word other countries use to suit ourselves. Just like the urban dictionary taking notes.

23. Chrissie - Christmas
24. A ciggy - a cigarette
25. (Get) clucky - feel maternal, like you want to have children

27. A coldie - a cold beverage, usually a beer

29. A cop/copper - a policeman - The police (cops/coppers)
30. Crikey! - An expression of surprise or being impressed
31. A croc - a crocodile
32. To be crook - to be sick or unwell
33. A dag - a silly person; a nerd or geek

44. A galah - a stupid person. Lit. an Australian parrot that isn’t very smart
45. Get stuffed! - Screw you!
46. Can’t be stuffed! - Can’t be bothered
47. Go off - (For a party/social event) to be in full swing, lively, very busy
48. Good on ya! - Well done; good job
49. Goon - cheap wine sold in plastic bags in cardboard boxes
50. Hard yakka - Hard work
51. Heaps - A lot, much, many; really
