Correct. Fairly sure that means it's illegal to then *RESELL* it - even to a friend. Even if you don't know the power and even if you're going by the specs - until it's put under a LPM, you just don't know. In short, don't resell it unless you can back up the sale with math (specs) that show it's legal.

The cheap laser glasses that come with those lasers have been proven to not work. Usually it costs between 100-400 dollars just for the glasses which in most cases is more expensive than the laser itself so they just put fake/cheap ones in as the sellers dont care about security since theyre already illegally selling the lasers

Hey man, Its actually really easy to find this. However this is an extremely powerful laser, Its about 1W of output power, Which doesnt sound like a lot... but it is 200 TIMES stronger than the legal limit of 5mw and is 2 times as powerful as the highest danger class rating of lasers. Just looking at the spot on the wall can and will damage your eyes. And if youre unlucky enough to have the beam bounce off a reflective surface and it hits your eyes you are garentied blindness.... If you want to buy this do not use it without goggles please. This is a legitiment blinding ray not to be messed with. That being said once you have goggles, i can confirm lasers do become very fun to use :D

Short answer: Not really. Long answer involves physics and extremely precise measurements. Example, have you put your Laser pointer under a proper LPM to see how strong your laser is? (You can't go by the Chinese sticker they slap on) - You actually have to measure it yourself. *THEN* you can start to do some calculations for safety - but the short answer is No. Not really. If you're going to do it anyway - *MAKE SURE* you have a firm grip on the laser. Be precise. Never point at anything reflective and distance is your friend. (Somewhat) Here's the problem: 1W blue lasers beam, even when reflected, that goes back into your eye....the light sends a "pain signal" to the brain. The brain tells the body to "blink" but by the time you've blinked, it's too late. You're blind. Permanently. I have many firearms. Fully loaded. I'm more terrified of my blue laser ordered off of Amazon. (Same laser imho) When not in use, I take the batteries out. No joke. Be careful. I wouldn't play around with it frankly. A 1W blue laser in the 445nm wavelength has a "visual hazard" to a distance of 4.8 nautical miles. A green 1W laser at 533 wavelength has a visual hazard range of 25.5 nautical miles. Crazy difference, right? Be careful. Wear your glasses. It's serious.

I bought the black version on eBay for $35 without the case and extra batteries. It's the brightest laser I have ever owner. At night it's like a knight saber. I definitely bought some professional protective glasses before I used it, this thing is a beast. I will most likely need to use it soon to hunt zombies. Who knows.

Focus it to the target and if it still cant burn see if you have a good battery that can power it well enough. It could also be related to the lens and parts inside as if theyre cheaply made they can get less efficient/powerful with time which is somewhat common with these lasers (had one become unable to burn after about 5 months so if its 2nd hand that could be it)

wow im still thinking of one i had one that was little lower power but i sadly lost it in a common park at night in 2010. mine had a tourch button and it was bright. tho the workers luckly never knew till later but yea mine was like half the power it could burn leafs and paper but it was slower i do remembr hurting my finger with it but after a few months it vanished and ive not seen it ever since late 2010 but id prob use those little metal spilters that came with youres if u want to use it without glasses it seems worrying if youre eyes do hurt so as always taking one step of care is good and if u can dull the power then thats even better. even having it for looks looks kinda cool like something from DrWho or some nuclear power bank. ill defo be looking for one but only if i can cut the power to be more dull incase as in some countrys the legal limit is 1MW i think but id not worry im sure we all broke some laws in the past few year or so. i did findout that my old black one i had in 2010 was braking the potential laws as it was high power than 1Mw Laser or so. defo try those end metal caps u got in the box it may dull its power
