Yeah i agree. Because they make us think he's just some poor guy that didn't do anything wrong. Other than that other guy that cheated on his wife. The ending hits hard because a lot of his "odd" behavior we over looked. Yet they make us sympathize with him. To then find out at the very end he was a pervert.

The idea that every interaction between a depo life and a child has to relate to something secs ual or bad is untrue and harmful. Some are scared of going outside and getting into situations with children because what the media wrongly tells depo lifes is that we are unicorn trollable monsters. So an important part of therapy can be to learn that one is in control, by not avoiding situations but instead observing how nothing bad happens. _[Sorry for weird spelling of Da (possible) B@d Wrds™.]_

There’s 3 things I like about this episode: 1. We never find out who the hackers are. For me that just adds to the episode as it could be literally anyone in the world. Possibly even someone in the episode. 2. At the end we also see the other characters who were doing what the hackers told them to also get outed. It shows how ruthless the hackers are to people like them. 3. Kenny’s mother’s final line before he hangs up, “KIDS KENNY! Tell me it’s not true!” Just Kenny’s face when she says that and her practically pleading with him to deny what he did was just really powerful and really added to the ending in my opinion.

I think the reason the hackers make people commit these crazy crimes is that they want people like Kenny locked up for life, not just for the small sentence they would more than likely get.

@@stayhomewearamask3318 the point of any punishment is to make the offender recognize and receive the consequences of their actions. The woman in White Bear has her mind literally erased every day and she doesn’t have any time to truly understand what she did. Basically she’s not the same person who tortured and killed that girl, her body did that, but her mind is different. The other participants and bystanders though are more evil than her. @@dinopines9191’s also the language he uses, he continuously minimises his crime by using words like “just a few” or “only a couple” implying that there was a negative element to the content he was masturbating to. It’s very common in people who have been outed and feel guilty for something they’ve done to sort of try and gain some empathy or understanding. He also doesn’t explicitly deny it each time he’s asked, he just gives us bits of information here and there. The first time he’s asked, his answer is vague suggesting it was regular porn, the second time however, the stakes were much higher and he broke down giving himself away. He didn’t have to explicitly say it was cp but his choice of words gave it away.

I always wanted to know what the guy who dropped off the cake did. A group of people (presumably his family) say he's a sexual deviant of some sort. If the family's particularly conservative (socially) he could be gay, but that's not remotely as bad as any of the other stuff. I doubt it would be anything involving children as the hackers may have turned this into a threeway pedo fight then. The only thing I can think of is bestiality.

sorry this is late but I think the reaction would be bigger if it was beastiality. It seems the punishments bigger for what they do too and they probably would've shown if he had to do something really bad?? Either way his families reactions make me think he might've been watching some really taboo adult content or he may have taken inappropriate pictures of strangers. Just anything perverted that's mostly a victimless crime.

He's an adolescent. If he's watching that stuff at his age, the chances are very high that he was sexually abused himself. Watching it rather than inflicting it on someone else is a virtue, not a curse. It's a way to regain one's personal power without harming anyone, as the eminent anti-child-abuse author Alice Miller herself pointed out. The way you speak of this character, taking the opportunity to signal your questionable virtue, is utterly heartless and destructive.
