Bodyguards can only be either from the medieval or the rennaissance faction, catapults and Da Vinci tanks are banned. Units that fit into the 2 factions but aren't in them are allowed too.

Durring D-day really Germans defend cliffs - in effect Marines attacking there were forced to pull off and move to storm beach instead. Also - durring Battle of Kursk tanks really were fighting on close distance - to point of ramming each other.
