Most relaxing Low Cost Carrier? HK Express ✈️

It was only that year, 2023, when I first time heard about this Hong Kong based low cost carrier (LCC), HK Express, or Hongkong Express, and I was quite curious to find out how it is to fly onboard one of their aircraft, as I needed to travel from Hong Kong to Phuket as cheap as possible. This was my chance to do a flight review. Overall, I was quite satisfied, but see for yourself. Enjoy:)

In the video haven’t mentioned the price I paid for this flight. It was just below 1100 HKD (130EUR/140USD) including extra legroom seat for this 4 hour journey.

That actually looked like a very enjoyable flight. I think you were very wise to pay for the upgrade to extra legroom. Also, I think you make a great point about a calm boarding process. The sense of calm during boarding really helps to make the flight a better experience.

Morning Chris!!! Always good to know about these Low-Cost Carriers some of us never hear about!!! Good to know about accessing these Lounges with various Credit Cards too!! I like the Color Headrests advising about the Extra Legroom Space! Glad you had a pleasant flight. PS: I know SOME people tread kids and babies on flights, however that Baby Changing Table is massive and is at the right height!! I think its GREAT!!!!!! Have a wonderful time in Phuket with Family 🙂

Thank you very much for your nice comment, always happy to have your feedback. Flying with a baby is a challenge of its own, I probably could do an hour long video about it. But that would not quite fit into my intended content niche (besides protecting my little one from exposure in social media). Regarding lounge access, I also use Priority Pass, which also would be accepted at some lounges in HKG, and it comes handy whenever no lounge access is included in the fare.

Wow you definitely needed that emergency exit row seat. As I said before you are a tall boy and I understand how difficult it is for you to fly in comfort but you really seem to be a reasonable man and don’t complain and we as Flight Attendants loved passengers as yourself. Thanks a lot. That is true, being 6ft4in isn’t always easy when traveling on a budget (which I do 85-90% of the time), and I’m often forced to pay extra for additional legroom. But this circumstance made me look into business class travel deals, which eventually made me create this channel:)

You know I am 5’ 71/2” and I struggle even in First Class here in the states, but as I said before we have horrible FC on our domestic runs. Great video. One question though, were they stickler with carryon luggage? Did you have to pay a lot more for the check in luggage if you checked any?

Not at all. I had too much carry on luggage and I was ready to pay a surcharge at the gate. But they didn’t bother, maybe because the flight wasn’t fully booked. Re checked luggage I don’t know, as I didn’t have any.
