At 14.06 it is not for tank crossing...it is actually for a low stream. Its a water crossing. Its called 'causeway'.

The white deposit on the river bank is perma frost it is a layer of soil that is permanently frozen and is usually found in very cold regions of the world...in Ladakh it s usually found in the vicinity of water bodies ...you will find a lot of perma frost terrain around the banks of the pangong lake
