Mehdi is so adorable walking around in his big coat! I love how he talked about starting his night routine early. I’m the same way - when I come home after work I wash my face and will do one or two steps of my night routine, let it soak in and then add the next step and wait so everything fully soaks in! Tranexamic acid is GOLD. It’s amazing for hyperpigmentation and is so well known for halting the production of melanin in the skin and is legendary on acne scarring! I have sensitive skin and it’s always combined with either Hyaluronic or Niacinamide so it’s still so hydrating but with excellent results!

What Mehdi talked about The Ordinary is true. If you're not careful with the exfoliation, you can damage the skin barrier. Learnt the lesson the hard way when I first started using TO 2 years back. We kinda had a similar journey, though I'm still searching for the "it" products, when it comes to K-Beauty. Laneige Radian C is a truly a miracle cream. Cleared acne and smoothed out the bumps. My skin feels so soft now. Better than retinol cream.

I drop my oils in my night cream so I don't have to feel it all over my face, because I also hate the way it feels, and it also makes them go a little farther. Doing that has made them easier to add in my routine, especially since I use a really expensive one and I wasn't using it because it was so expensive

I think Mehdi is wrong about the Vitamin C in the Laneige product because it uses a derivative of L-Ascorbic acid, which is a stable form of Vitamin C that should not oxide. However, I agree with Mehdi about not liking this product because this product contain so much fragrance: including Fragrance/Parfum (undisclosed amount), Linalool, Citral, and Geraniol which would be bad for people who have sensitivities to fragrance and generally, it increases the risk of people developing a sensitivity to this over time.

The innisfree soybean essence is more expensive in the US than Korea which is weird. I've seen Korean version around $18 to $22. But the US version is $28 to $36. It's exactly the same product, just different name in the packaging.

I was wondering, why don't you ever speak of the brand Elizavecca? Is it because you don't like it? Personally I love this brand, their packaging are so cute and the scent of their products always please me. And they work well! I don't think I've been disappointed by one of their products (I've tried three or four as for now). Would you consider talking about them? I'd be very interested to hear about your favorite products. (This speech makes me look like I'm one of their saleperson lol. I'm not, I just genuinely love the brand.)

​@@EuniUnni Sure I do! I'm quite surprised to not hear more about this brand. Their products are innovative, very affordable and effective. They're also fun! And skincare should be! Okay so the first product that made me fell in love with the brand is their retinol cream (Milky Piggy EGF Elastic Retinol Cream). It's a great moisturizer for beginners who want to get started on retinol, since the retinol is formulated as a cream (and thus less "aggressive"), and because it contains a small amount (someone did the math and it's something like O.O75%). The texture is interesting, a bit sticky but since you're supposed to put a thin layer it's not a huge problem. And finally the smell is fantastic! It smells like almond, which is one of my favorite scent. As for results, I think they're there. I don't have many wrinkles yet (I'm 27), but I've always have deep set ones on my forehead. I've noticed recently they've filled up a bit, my forehead is smoother - though of course it could be the result of my skincare routine as a whole rather than this product in particular. But I do think it helped. The second product is their eye cream (Gold CF-Nest White Bomb Eye Cream). Same thing, really like it. The smell is great too (remind me of the retinol cream). The texture is fluid, but still moisturizing. Also it plays well under make-up - I used the Heimish Marine eye cream before, and while it's very moisturizing, it's so rich that my eyeshadow wouldn't sit well on it and I couldn't work it like I wanted. I have no problem with this one. So these are the ones I have tested, but I also bought three more : - the Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask: this one was really popular a few years back, it's also known as the Cloud Mask I believe. Basically you would put it on your face and it would foam up, leaving you looking like you put bath foam on your face. It looks really fun, I can't wait to try it out once I've finished my current exfoliation product (I exfoliate twice a week, and since one of them I use The Ordinary red peeling serum, I use another gentler product). - the Moisture Hyaluronic Acid Memory Cream: I am very excited about this one. I'm waiting for warmer days before trying it out, but basically it's a jelly like hyaluronic cream. When you take a scoop of this, the rest of the product goes back to its original form. I think the elasticity of the cream is supposed to "transfer" to your skin, keeping it bouncy and hydrated. It's my most anticipated product to try. - the Green Piggy Collagen Jella Pack: you who tried a bunch of collagen products in your last video, I was surprised to see this one didn't make the cut! Again I haven't yet tried it, since I have other masks to finish first, but it has great reviews and it's supposed to make your skin soft and hydrated. So that's my take on the brand. They have a lot more products, and I think it deserve more recognition (I never see them on KZbin, though they seem quite popular on Tik Tok). P.S: sorry about the long rant, I just love talking about skincare ^^

awww sorry to hear that!! i havent tried them out yet~!! it looked like a really good bargain but will have to def check it out!! :( but since i have acne prone skin as well will def keep that in mind

I absolutely hate oils because many, many dermatologists have told me that oils are like the enemy of the skin because they cause so much inflammation in the skin that leads to sensitivity, redness and acne and they don't allow the skin to shed itself and turn over naturally. They also said it makes the skin cells lazy and dormant and they don't function properly. When I stopped using passive moisturizers and lotions/oils my skin became so healthy looking.
