I lived in Arizona from 1975 until 1989. It is one of the most beautiful states in the union. My favorite way to see the state was motocamp, motorcycling and camping with a good tarp, sleeping bag and pad. My favorite motorcycle ride was Highway 89 from Prescott to Flagstaff. Tucson and Mount Lemmon are my favorite stops in the southern half of Arizona. Thanks for sharing this awesome state, Catherine.

Born and raised in this area. I took a 300 mile loop yesterday by driving to Globe, then down to Roosevelt lake, back up to Young. From there my GPS let me down...again...and I ended up on a forest service road with up to 3 feet of snow. I barely got out. I them made it to Payson, had an amazing lunch at Duza's. I ended my trip back home. Youve got lots of trails near by. You are in the area during the worst time for tourists. From January to the end of Spring Training...its nuts. Be well.

"Doing the best that you can" is super great. I was in Apache Junction in the late 60's and was not really impressed but seeing things thru your lens makes me appreciate the scenery. Watching you take me places that I would never have a desire to go to on my own has expanded my world by alot. Thank you.

We were in Sedona just in advance of that system! We managed to hike Bell and Cathedral Rocks one day, then Devil’s Bridge and Soldier Pass the next before driving back to Phoenix in the rain and dark. This was a quick six-day trip for my wife Sherry and I so that we could escape a too mild and mostly grey Ontario winter. We did some hiking around Scottsdale, but didn’t have time to make it out to the Superstitions. Thanks for showing us what we missed.

I thank you Catherine. Your work is a blessing to many. You are a film maker , a schedule is a guide. Something to shoot for. Nothing more. When a true artist creates, there is no time table. It's our privilege to enjoy your work...when it's ready for presentation. Garbage abounds. For quality , one will gladly wait. Thank You. Great job!

It's to funny, since I live in the east valley area, I took a friend visiting from California to the Tortilla Flats tourist area and as well we drove through that same camp grounds where you are staying!! I remember as we drove as well into the Lost Dutchmans State Park, we were turned away from the parking area because it was so crowded, but that was on that Saturday weekend. But we did find better parking elsewhere at the needle point parking area and it was free. As you pointed out this area is so beautiful now because of all the rain, the landscape has been so green!! As of my comments the last storm that came from California did bring more rain and lots of snow to the Superstitions and Sedona as well!! So again thank you for stopping by and once again enjoying my back yard!! Have fun in Tucson and see you on your next adventure Cat!!c

Nice area! After going back and forth through AZ while full-timing a couple years ago, my wife and I decided to look for a home base in AZ. We ended up about 80 miles east of Tucson. Beautiful country all around! We haven’t done much looking around in the north of the state yet. You give us ideas! Too bad about the phone. Good thing the fix isn’t so painful.
