Fun fact about sonicsona honey: she is a full character in the sonic comics and is friends with amy rose and in canon is the one that gave amy her iconic red dress.

Is she in the new IDW canon? Because I believe it was only for the Archie comics which got reconned via the Genesis wave which ran only for so long until the eventual cancellation.

The whole Goblin Princess lore honestly sounds like the unexpected cruelty that the player character in a Fromsoft game would encounter and not think twice about until seeing small details and finding lore items. You may have moments of feeling bad throughout because it feels off and youll find pieces of a puzzle like any soulsborne title but it isnt until you put the pieces together that you realize you unknowingly desecrated what was a memorial to an age of tyranny and cruelty overthrown by a single shred of prosperity, even if it lasted only for a moment.

53:09 the glass dungeon reminds me of The Amala Labyrinth from shin megami tensei nocturne. also Vermice sounds like a metaphor for ego death or ego loss made as a game concept with the light and darkness being a indicator of how far you are on the path of rebirth and entropy and the glass dungeon is where your character if you survive attains oneness and is reborn and would be the "true ending" or would be where the dream ends like the other video of "it was all a dream trope"🤔

The art of _VERMIS_ kind of reminds me of the Module Box Art that Larry Elmore did for AD&D in the '80's , and (as you pointed out, Airier) _Fear and Hunger_

Thanks for this. Now you've done , "The cruellest game", "The fake games" and committed to some long reactions. Maybe it's time to check out "The best game you will never play" (Pathologic is Genius, And Here's Why). Although there's now both a remaster and a remake(2). Alt title, "what happens when Indie devs spend 20 years trying to go beyond AAA ambition."

Ive actually been recently experimenting, not fully creating yet, but mapping out my own sort of cyberpunk dystopian world with a very tabletop style of creation and exploration involving the world literally being rearranged into an unrecognizable and mostly unexplored state potentially thousands of years ago by a cataclysmic phenomenon involving technology revolving around liminal space exploding in a reactor and leaving a single crater of the epicenter a hundred miles across that looks like a black wasteland of nothing, but stepping into it results in endless walking towards a center that is beloevably unreachable. And once you go in, you can't turn around and leave. You can only hope you run into another liminal pocket that will spit you out somewhere else in the world, or put you somewhere where you can finally stop walking and die. That isnt the only liminal space as civilizations rise back up with a central city near the crater being the capital and outposts venturing out beyond it into the unexplored world where warning signs are left from both the ground to being positioned on structures in the sky with markers around areas from a foot to a good mile in perspective of liminal bubnles that can just as easily lead you through walking into a near endless abyss of similarity that can go anywhere. Tech exists that can allow people to navigate these places to safety. But such technology is rare, and the primary choice of characters that have it dont take kindly to people possessing something that could lead to yet another incursion of apocalyptic wrath from human curiosity into what they can only vaguely hope to comprehend without meticulous tinkering. The Adjudicators are rarely seen and like myth, yet when they do appear there are rarely survivors wherever they go to tell the tale. Like angelic figures of human flesh fair and porcelain, and machinery sleek and shining like a heavenly future, they rarely discriminate in the name of keeping the world from further chaos. Some may have slight empathy and perform their task like shephards forced to cull infection from the flock, while others inherit the malice and cruelty of mankind and want to make the suffering of prey last by binding them to a liminal labrynth of their own mind and torture them beyond the point of begging for death, yet some have done the same thing for so long that its infuriating to repeat the cycle and they will even break the rules of their own code to have reasons to experiment and test the futility of human toiling to find more purpose to the seemingly neverending repititious cycle of cleanse and control. Helheim, Purgatorus, and Paradis are the three generals of the Adjudicators, and each represent these levels of humanity from curiosity, to cruelty, to empathy, as counterpoints to their namesake. All with their own ways of dealing with incidents of liminal technological spikes, and each with their own made way of enduring what could only be possibly aeons of repitition. The sad reality being if you did manahe to become strong enough to beat and kill one or even all of them, would you truly free mankind from the looming threat of an ever-present and ominous force or would you just give the gateway for an eventual inevitability of history doomed to repeat itself and this time possibly leave nothing left of what already barely remained?

Vermis came out last year it seems. It was mentioned in Versus Wolves episode 1: the best collection 2023 (which came out before this video). I will once again recommend you check it out, and hell consider Reacting to it. Sure Podcasts are just two dudes talking but this podcast has arcs. Like John claiming he isn’t the villain of Versus Wolves, and then being the villain of Versus Wolves. The episodes have segments you can split the video. The Best Collection is a pleasant video. And then John recommends Fear and Hunger.

No joke, after I watched the original video, I immediately ordered the book. It hurts because it costed like 200 malaysian ringgits, but man am I excited for when it'll arrive.

Just finished the video. If you're really considering buying the Vermis books, I ordered mine from a site called Hollow Press. It was the first site that popped up when I searched for the book, so I just bought it there. It's €15 each.
