I grew up in the military. My father is Puerto Rican, my mother was Japanese and my last name is Albanian. My father taught my brothers and I, if you really want to see the culture, meet the people, then you need to steer away from the tourist traps and go adventuring. Every time I've done this, I've truly met the people of the land. They are open and honest and with what little they have, they are willing to share. This is even true in the United States. The disparity between the rich and the poor is soul wrenching. The countries elite keep the money for themselves. The corruption is mind boggling. Thank you for showing the true peoples of the land and helping where and when you can. You have made such a difference not only in the lives that you've encountered, but the generations that will come after. Namaste.

# 5 We have NO idea how good we have it. Even folks on welfare are 1000 times better off than these folks. The drug homeless on the streets of Seattle get FREE tents, food, medical if they need it. My mother told me that one time when she was in school in Edmonds, Wash. ( about 25 miles North of Seattle ) one of her grade school classmates did not have shoes so he came to school each day with gunny sacks wrapped on his feet. This would by 4th or 5th grade. about 1925 the. students ( i bet only boys ) would tease him until one day he asked to go to the bath room and the teacher lit into the class. No more teasing. These children, especially the young ones don't really understand that they are poor. I bet they think they have the neatest play area around.

Hello Marco, I was born somewhere in Battambong during the near end of the Khmer Rouge war. It does bother me greatly that like many powerful countries, the leader of Cambodia Hun Sen and his family live in pure luxury while many parts of of Cambodia and its people are so poor. Want to know the crazy truth? Hun Sen is a Khmer Rouge so yep Cambodia being run by the very people that killed millions.

I love how u talk about the hardship and how 90% of the population was murder in less then 3 years just to show a recovery city and all the bad parts of it and then you going to stand at here and question why the city is the way it is

81% of ocean plastics are emitted from Asia (Philippines, India, and Malaysia) Africa is responsible for 8%; South America for 5.5%; North America for 4.5%; and Europe and Oceania combined are less than 1%. When you see the state of the rivers in these Asian countries then it is no surprise that you then get the above figures. Most will complain about the rubbish, but they also have no problem in adding to it.
