Very nice video and explanations. I have a BX with minimal lift capacity. I just traded down to LandPride 1242 forks, which are the best branded match. They are lift rated for 1200#, and are 42” long. They have the upper guard, and weigh 220#, which is the main feature.
@TonysCoolTools8 ай бұрын
Craig, looks like you did your homework. Most people just look for "Heavy Duty" which typically means 400-500 Lbs pallet forks. Though your BX is probably rated for 36" forks your smart in getting the 42". In my opinion they are more versatile. Thanks for watching and commenting TCT

A word of advice when buying pallet forks. I would (and did) buy pallet forks that far exceed the lifting capacity of whatever your FEL is on your tractor. My tractor's lift capacity is about 3,400lbs. So, I got a set of Erskine pallet forks rated to lift 5K. Because often times, when I'm moving something suspended by a strap or chain, I'm only using a single fork, not both, and if you lift something heavy with just a single fork, if your forks aren't rated for more than your tractor's lifting capacity, it's very easy to "tweak" that one fork.
@TonysCoolTools Жыл бұрын
Jeff I’ve never tried that, I always used both forks when lifting. I just move slightly off to the left or right of where the slot is to remove the pallet forks. That’s why I like the Artillian fork frame with chain slots. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT

Artillian seems like the way to go. Are they much more cost wise than the other set far as the starter set with the forks and add on as you go...
@TonysCoolTools Жыл бұрын
Jimmie, it all depends if the manufacturer is running a sale or not. The Artillian is more expensive then the Everthing Attachment by about $450-$500. But remember you’re getting the 2” receiver and chain slots on the Artillian and it’s a system if you plan on getting other attachments. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT

Great video Tony. Have you had issues of adequate spacing options between each fork on these two choices or can you select infinite spacing between the forks when using? Also of note is Everything Attachment is making the news in Carolina with some legal issues so caution new buyers.
@TonysCoolTools9 ай бұрын
Tim, though there are slots or detents where the forks lock into I can slide both forks anywhere along the pallet frame with the exception of directly in the middle where a slot of about 6” is cut out so you can remove the forks if needed. Stain, that’s a tough question for sure. Thought I don’t own any Husqvarna chain saws if I were to buy one it would be the 572 for sure. I’ve used my friends 572 and really enjoy cutting with it. With that being said I own a MS 460 and have been using it for years on big wood but the problem is it’s heavy. Last year I purchased the MS 462 and can’t believe how enjoyable it is to cut with. The saw I use most is the MS500 but after getting the MS 462 it’s a hard decision which is my favorite the 462 or 500? You can’t go wrong with buying the MS462. @TonysCoolTools Жыл бұрын
The newer tractors primarily use two types of quick attach. 1st is the skid steer quick attach which is the most popular. 2nd is the John Deere quick attach which is exclusively for their tractor. There is a 3rd system which is a Euro Quick attach but it’s not that popular in the US. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍TCT

I found the Ariillian pallet forks are rated at 3000lbs and only weigh 242 lbs which gives my tractor more lift capacity. I’ll have to check out the United Attachments line of products.
