Catfish like hunting in the dark. Bait we used for a 2 week vacation was a cheap round steak. Cut it into 12 cubes, put into an ice cube tray. The only bait we used unless my dad wanted to catch a trophy fish. 2 weeks with catfish bait Bought once and never eaten. Went into the freezer every night.

Love your videos, not wanting to offend just a little something I have learned catfishing is take a light section of light mono and tie a sinker on one end and a swivel on the other run the main line thru the swivel then make a leader with a swivel on one end and your hook on the other and attach the swivel to main line this way main line slides thru the eye of the swivel that has the sinker and also helps with snags on the bottom you can break off the sinker and not lose your hook

I always used the Louisiana brand from boiling crawfish to frying fish. It has all the good flavors but not too much so go with the mild to medium on fish and you won’t be disappointed unless you mess it up. If you’re gonna do salt and pepper do a splash of cayenne pepper

Zackary forca " glue" to hold the cherry tomatoes on the sandwich, you might try sour cream . Alternatively, two slices of sliced deli cheese your choice with the tomatoes between them. And steam the whole sandwich for about a minute or two till the cheeses melt. Of for a party wrap in parchment paper and then foil and keep warm in a chafing dish or crockery pot in a low heat 130° ish .

Glad somebody values good catfish as much as me! I live on the same river as the catfish capital of Canada and routinely eat the bad boys. Sad people in my neck of the woods classify them as ‘dirty’ bottom feeders and think they are gross. Just an edit: use UNCOOKED shrimp as catfish bait, they stay on the hook well and catch like using chicken livers. Hotdogs are also okay in a pinch.

hey man i know this is a long shot and you probably won’t see this but here in louisiana we have a big bass tournament every march it’s always around the 25th and it’s called “fishing for a mission” and it’s either $60 per person or $120 per person i don’t really know for sure i always fish it with my older cousin but anyways its a fundraiser to help churches be built and it goes toward kids in need and the homeless and all sorts of things and ive been a big fan of yours for a while and i was just going to see if you’d fish it. they have a fish fry afterwards and they pray before and after the tournament and if you decide you’d like to fish it i’ll give you some tips on our fishing down here. but anyways. love the content man and sorry if this is a lot i just wanted to let you know about our tournament

the fire you have needs wood gas as the wood burns from the top it gets converted to charcoal letting out all the flammable components eg smoke your fire drags air from the bottom super heats it and adds it to the smoke allowing it to make the jets you are used to seeing with pelts any dense 70% dry bio mass will work
