~18:00 I absolutely get the "buying too much yarn" problem. I have to remind myself what is already in my stash and that there are ALWAYS sales. There WILL be another one. I'm not missing out on an opportunity haha. Instagram is dangerous!

Exactly 👏 It's a much needed reminder, especially this time of year 🥲 But there will always be yarn to be bought in the future !!

love all your sweaters but esp that ito sweater you're wearing rn!! also feel the same feelings re: hand dyed yarns not being great workhorses. I think generally, I love them as souvenir yarns!

Ooh that is a great way to think of them! And then eventually they may become socks or hats or some other project meant for lonely skeins lol

9:16 I know exactly what you're talking about!! like even though they're dry and woolly and maybe a little scratchy they're sooooooo cozy and you just wanna stick your face into it. I tend to describe them as 'rustically soft' 😅

Yes-- that is exactly it! You could see I could not resist sticking my face into the fabric either 😂 I like the sound of rustically soft; it encompasses the duality of the fabric

Love sweater analysis! 😃 I feel the exact same about Nutiden plus mohair! I am still a patreon but I can't buy any more lol. My favourite fabric that I have produced with this combo is my Lento. I think I knit it on 5.5mm to hit gauge roughtly (single strand Nutiden plus mohair). It is sooo good! Is your red one the colour Amanita? I still regret not buying that one. Only recently found out that red suits me. Yours looks fantastic! I was knitting on my almost finished Super Selene. Also in Nutiden with mohair!

I waited patiently to find out about the sweater you are wearing! What is the exact number/colour of ito self striping yarn and contrast colour? I have to make this. What is the name of the pattern? It is gorgeous ❤❤❤❤❤

I’ve been wanting to do stripes so definitely will check out the Highline Henley Currently, another pause on husband’s cardigan to knit grandma another pair of socks… She loved my original but her feet are smaller than mines so I am making these shorter. Going to perfect some other aspects that I felt needed work from the first pair. These are flying off the needles and I am also in the mood to either knit a hood or a vest for her. I wanted it to be something she won’t have difficulty wearing to stay warm…

Aww there's something so special about knitting for loved ones 🥰 A vest sounds like a lovely idea for something easy to wear. I've also seen some button down vests which might be even easier for layering! And I totally recommend that pattern 👌 The shoulder details are really top notch!
