I was a babysitter. I was watching a 4 year old on a regular basis. He never said anything strange until the night of Halloween. We were just getting back from trick or treating. He stopped cold at the front door and said, "The old man says stay out." I asked him what old man? He simply pointed to the door and said "HIM!" turned around and ran down the block and around two corners to my house instead. The strange thing is that I had never shown him where I lived.

I was babysitting for my cousin once, and while I was kind of distracted, he told me he was going to the potty. I was like "yeah okay." A minute later, I didn't hear anything, so I went to check on him, but he wasn't anywhere in the house. I freaked out, was about to cry...and then he came inside. He went out to the backyard to pee on a tree and didn't tell me that's where he was going.

I've never had any babysitters, but I have a spooky story that scared the life out of me: I was working on my computer and it was late. I was watching videos about ghosts, and suddenly the family dog Pixie starts barking at seemingly nothing, and it scared the s*** out of me. I then realized she was barking at a pile of laundry on the couch.

What is scary on this story? Ok i am from Germany. When i was a kid i lived in a flat with my brother and my parents. There was a long dark corridor and when i go in the night to the toilet i have to pass this corridor. Every night i look down it because i'm scared it was so dark and i'm hope i dont see anything. But one night i look down the corridor and there stand a man with red clowing eyes and looked at me. I scream turn the light on and there was nothing. Since that day when i have to pass the corridor i close my eyes till i find the counter to turn the light on. This was creepy and i swear to everything it is true. There are a lot of more creepy things they happend in this flat because the flat is haunted from several ghosts. The flat was a hiding place for jews during the world war 2 and sometimes the jews die there when they dont have enough food or water. I had a creepy childhood there and my mother lived there since may in this year.

Aww, dog, though dogs don't bark at piles of laundry unless there's something in or on it, your family 's scent would be on the laundry, so nothing unfamiliar that would make Pixie bark. So maybe it's more then it seems 😶

It wasn't really a creepy story but it was scary, so one day I was babysitting my sister's friends and we were playing outside, and then the door suddenly locked from the inside so we were stuck outside and I was freaking out but one of the girls took me to the neighbours and we ended up going through the girls bedroom window, and Even though we we're safe I was still freaking out because my anxiety is pretty much paranoia in situations like that but luckily it was my only situation that something scary happened. When I was in college, I lived with my cousin and his family. One night, I babysat my 4-year-old niece when my cousin and his wife were out on a date. As soon as her parents left, my niece pulled off this really old storybook from a bookshelf and sat on my cousin's now-deceased mom's armchair. She began reading the book out loud and kept correcting herself from the words she mispronounced. Watching her, I thought it was really weird for a 4-year-old to do that. When I asked her what she was doing, she replied: "I'm reading with grandma." All the hairs on my neck stood and I called my cousin in panic as my Aunt(my niece's grandmother) had passed away two weeks before my niece was even born.

My scary babysitting story: I was babysitting for 3 kids that I knew pretty well. I had babysat for them a lot before, and nothing weird had ever happened. That was, until, one day while the two youngest kids were napping. Occasionally, I checked the baby monitor which had a button that could make the footage switch from room to room. The footage on the monitor was grainy and black and white, but for just one second before switching to a new room, it switched to a crystal clear image in full color of the two oldest kids in the backyard. There wasn’t even a camera in the backyard. I don’t know what it meant, but it never happened before, and hasn’t happened since. It doesn’t sound that creepy in writing, I guess but it was scary for me.
