My brother actually found a secret room at our school. He and his friends were in the gym. They found a ladder that led to a room above the gym. One of my brother's friends took my brothers phone and went up. The room was lit up by sunlight, it didn't look like any old classroom though. There was dust everywhere as well as boxes. There was a hallway that ended in darkness, which he didn't enter. There was also a stuffed duck just sitting there. His friend recorded the whole thing, but he went down because it was way too creepy.

Actually not really. Book shelves when filled with books are amongst the heaviest furniture you can have in a house making them incredibly hard to move and usually have hidden switches to release it. So if someone tries to move it without the switch they'll assume its because of weight not the locking mechanism Making them good blockades for hidden doors. Built in book shelves are again great hidden doors as a book shelf usually has an out of place build especially when built with outer decorative frames from the wall making it less conspicuous if its seems aren't solid to the surrounding surfaces. Books themselves are also great distractions for if someone becomes curious to the shelf any of the books upon it could potentially steal there attention diverting the apprehensive from further investigation as they instead comb the thru the pages of there new found attraction. All in all I find a library filled with walls of dusty books a great place to hide a secret door if done correctly.

In #9 the passage ways were probably just tunnels to throw off any raiders. The pyramids were also built with a fake tomb and the real one would be hundreds of feet below the pyramid. I think those passage ways were either rooms to confuse/trap raiders. Or sacrifices
